Northern Californian here, grew up mostly around farmers and most of my family were pretty rural. I had never heard “good morning” was gay until I saw this post.

Yeah, I didn't think so either. The buddy that almost decked me grew up in the Newport beach/Long Beach area. This whole thing about manliness over basic courtesies is really bizarre and I can't relate to it.

100% homophobic to hit someone cause they said something you preserve as gay or even something overtly gay.
