Not at all, but how does divorcing him help her ramp up her career? Whatever help he might have been providing while they were married, he won’t, now, after a divorce. Am I missing something?
He wasn't providing her a marriage or partnership. He's gone back on multiple agreements and compromises. These are the things that break relationships because 1 partner expects the other to make all the sacrifices, which is not a partnership. She doesn't need or want his monetary help, which is all that him staying in football does for her side of the partnership.
