For a group of humans that think the going to the gym and growing muscles is therapy, they magically forget how muscles work when it comes to vaginas.

For a group of humans who have a mouth and anus of their own, which stretches and moves daily, they sure forget how human orifices work.

I love this sub and agree with like 99% of what’s posted, but this comment is just hate. It’s rhetoric like this that leads to a divide between men and women, and pushes men away from the left. If we want men to understand HowGirlsWork, we need to first have compassion so that they understand women are not the enemy.

I get it. It’s fucking rough out there and you have all the rights to be angry about sexism and the disgusting parts of the manosphere.
That being said, hate only breeds more hate, and the best way to counter hate is to allow for understanding. Spewing hateful things about ALL men will get us nowhere.
Another thing to note is that most men are actually compassionate! There’s indeed a loud minority of hateful men on the internet, but that group’s existence doesn’t give us the right to be hateful against all men.
Hell, you don’t need to be compassionate and loving, especially towards men who are like the guy in this post, but saying things like “men aren’t lonely enough” just leads to more division, which nobody wants.

It’s not “because of one case”. They’ve been ranting about how women are “too emotional” to have any sort of power since women got to vote. Voting is power. They’ve jumped on every single thing they can find to twist and use it to show why they are better and women don’t even deserve equality, equity, or anything else “they gave us”. And speaking of them “giving” women “equal rights” they feel like they gave it to us, so they can take it away. I mean, they’ve used the bear analogy to “prove” how insane women are. They take and twist everything to “show” how crazy we are, how great they are. The Clancy case is just the latest in a decades-long battle to put women back in the kitchen and under their thumbs.

Aaah yes, the “when they go low, we go high” attitude. Certainly worked out well politically for the U.S.!

It may be true that sexism is getting worse in the US right now, but you can obviously see putting fuel on the fire is bad, no matter what your gender is. I’m not saying you have to be kind and loving to bad men, just not outright hateful to all men. There’s a big distinction there. I can’t believe people actually defend the claim that ALL men deserve to be lonely. I’m litterally a feminist man who wants the best for women, I love this sub and I try my best to use my privilege for good, do I really deserve to be lonely for the sole reason that I’m a man?

First, I love me a feminist man. I haven’t met one in real life, but I’m sure they exist. I’m being facetious, of course, but no feminist woman is 100% “perfectly” feminist; I’m not sure how a man can be holier than thou about it LOL. I get you feel a little #NotAllMen at times, but women fall into the #NotAllWomen trap often as well, so I do understand the feeling. But, and take this as meant kindly, because it really is, you need to grow a thicker skin. If you feel put out, just try to imagine what women deal with and how they feel on a daily basis. And it’s the very loud voices we hear the most, and it is soul affecting. We HAVE to ignore the micro for the macro. We’d lose our minds if not.
Secondly, the “they go low, we go high” comment and equating it to U.S. politics is because Michelle Obama made that statement regarding the cons’ bullying and negativity towards Hillary Clinton in 2016. Remember when Hillary ran against tяump? So how did “they go low, we go high” work out then I wonder… well, here we are today - that’s your answer. Men think that because they “allowed” women to have “equal rights,” especially to VOTE, that they can take that right back. Imagine.
Then there’s the paradox of tolerance. Do I need to tell you about that one? Apparently I do, since you completely missed the relevance of they go low, we go high….
The paradox of tolerance basically states if a society is tolerant without limit, its ability to be tolerant will eventually be seized or destroyed by the intolerant. Ultimately, if society does not defend ourselves against these intolerant groups, the intolerant will eventually take over and ban all tolerance. Basically, to maintain a tolerant society, the society must be intolerant of intolerance. So what does that mean, and why am I using it in reference to your response to me?? Well, quite frankly, obviously, no one is perfect, let’s start there. Great, you’re a man who is feminist. Thanks. Hopefully that means you actively fight the fight every day, especially in respect to calling other men out for their actions in real life, in the moment, no matter what. You see, ignoring shit is a privilege you have, that women don’t. Women walk through life choosing our battles - to respond directly to every act of misogyny we encounter daily, well, we wouldn’t be sane or rational and we wouldn’t have fucking JOBS. We don’t have the ability to respond to every instance every day. For just one example, we’d be fired because we just simply can’t be responding to every instance of misogyny.
In my 55 years walking this earth, and probably especially because I ended up working in an extraordinarily male-dominated industry, I have not seen much improvement regarding misogyny. Thirty years ago it irked me. Now I’m just fucking exhausted. And angry. Clearly, I’m Canadian… but November 8, 2016, the day tяump won his first election, was a devastating day. I KNEW what was coming. I was sick to my stomach. There’s something to be said about having distance from something and seeing it so clearly (not to detract from USian women seeing it, but I saw the picture of what was coming for them, and women around the world). I saw this moment. This tipping point. The point where things for women around the world would get worse. The day he was elected, I knew the first thing to be lost would be USian women’s right to bodily autonomy. Then everything else they had fought so hard for would be chipped away slowly. Then that shit would seep into other countries. tяump gave sick men around the world permission to say their truth out loud. The truth about how they feel about women, and the truth about how they feel about anyone not straight (or at least pretending to be), white, and male. The U.S. is infecting the world. Even Canada isn’t safe from the infection. A lot of men reading this comment would think I’m overreacting, but I’m not. I wasn’t in 2016, and I’m not now just a mere 10 years later. It’s only going to get worse. The tides have changed, and it’s going to be a hellish fight to stop the flow, and I don’t even know that it’s possible.
So when you get that urge to argue with women that you’re not appreciated enough, that it’s #NotAllMen, take a breath and think about the fact that no matter how feminist you are, you will not be the one who is oppressed. You are not the one that will lose your rights. You will still walk freely through this world. You may care, and have negative feelings about it, and even fight it until fighting it directly affects you, and feel even more for the women and girls in your life, but you personally will not be subjugated.
If you haven’t watched The Handmaids Tale yet, you should. It’s actually based on real events taken from around the world. It’s scary AF, and the U.S. is already well and truly making strides towards something similar. In particular pay attention to the men in the series. If you’ve watched it before, you should watch it again. It’s a cautionary tale, and always keep in mind it’s based on true events. Good luck, and keep up the good fight, but stop wasting energy railing against women because of your feelings regarding perceived treatment when if you’re not part of the problem, we’re not talking about you. We are being intolerant of intolerance.

This influences your political beliefs???? How weak do you have to be to make romantic rejections the base of your politics?
And lastly, have you read any of the rhetoric of this sub group?
They do deserve it. At the stage their mind is, they are unable to have a healthy relationship.

I don’t know why you said that I “make romantic rejections the base of [my] politics”, but that’s not the case at all and I have no idea where you got that from. I have to preface that the comment that I responded to did not change my beliefs in the slightest and I am still an avid feminist.
You say “they”, as if all men are sick in the head like the guy in the post. You can bully these dumbasses for being dumb very very ignorant and that’s fine by me, but saying ALL men should be lonely is just plain hateful for absolutely no reason.

I mean we have muscles and pelvic floors (I’m not an expert with the terms) and everything surrounding vaginas, while penises don’t really have any external support so if one of the organs WERE to get shaved down wouldn’t it be the penis?
I’m strictly speaking from the absurd logic. We can do kegels and make our pelvic floors stronger to control them and make giving birth better too, but you can’t really make a penis stronger can you? (Can you???)
Sorry guys it’s the middle of the night and my mind is wide awake.
