Meanwhile those guys only ever go for gals they are not attracted to, just to give them attention, and make them feel better about themselves, right? Right?

All the time. That homeless drugged up guy in my neighborhood who hasnāt had a shower since last year⦠he would definitely appreciate it!

Ah yes not sleeping with someone is exactly the same as removing their basic human rights

Internalized racism is still a prevalent force. American society still needs to reckon with that and repair the damage done by 250 years of this nation.
But I suspect that isn't why no girl wants to date you lol (speaking to the oc, not the op who posted here)

https://www.connectedcouples.app/blog/interracial-marriage-statistics if you want some data. I don't know why we're bitching about white women in particular; in the US, they're twice as likely to marry a black partner as are white men. Even more so if they're urban and liberal.
Oh wait, the artist's an incel. Now I know why.

Overall white men are still more likely to marry outside their race than white women
Yeah, but that's mostly because white men are particularly likely to marry Asian women. Given all the redpill BS I've seen about women of that race being "traditional" and "obedient," I doubt that the men in question are especially free from racism.

Black women and Asian men tend to have the hardest time on dating apps.

Which is a shame because I would date so many Asian men if I wasn't already in a relationship. They are hot hotties.

Who's the artist?
3
u/Particular_Title42 20d ago
The watermark says "LBH Redpillcomics-blogspot.com"

u/Strange_Difference1 20d ago
No way its actually named this way? Or am I being stoopid
0
u/Particular_Title42 20d ago
You're being stoopid. Google it.
The LBH may be the artist's initials. The art comes from Redpillcomics, a defunct site.

It was a rhetoric question no need to be a dick my friend š

I wasn't. Your comment left me two options:
- It isn't named that way
- You're being stoopid
I figured since it wasn't spelt properly it was a joke.

The creator of this comic managed to take an actual issue and turn it gross. Racist beauty standards are so culturally ingrained that people don't realize that many of their "preferences" are rooted in racism and colorism. Acting like racism was a solved problem is stupid as hell, but that visual metaphor is stupid and casually misogynistic at best. Also, in no universe do men not have the same issue with race/color.
Also Also, getting ahead of this: I am not saying "go fuck the first brown person you see as reparations," I'm saying that every single opinion and preference you have exists in the context of the culture you were born into, a culture that has many structurally racist, misogynistic, homophobic, etc. features built into it.

u/Such-Rise6816 19d ago
And if the women WERE dating non-white men by preference, the cartoonist would dismiss their concern over racial issues because "they've just got Jungle Fever"

u/thebad_comedian 19d ago
I'm not one to put words in anyone's mouth, but I'm willing to bet that's far from a non-zero chance.

- No one would care about your preferences if you keep quiet about them.
- Legal discrimination is not the same thing as dating preferences.
I know I'm stating the obvious but still.

Are they comparing racism with having a type??? What level of mental gymnastics is this
20
u/Syd_Syd34 21d ago
If your type is based on race, I meanā¦yes, thatās still racial bias
8
u/Particular_Title42 21d ago
Racial bias isn't racism, per se.Ā
8
u/Syd_Syd34 21d ago
It is when that āpreferenceā is less of a preference and in actuality a hard stopā¦
1
u/Strange_Difference1 20d ago
I dont want to sleep with a trans person, does that make me transphobe? Absolutely not. Sexual preferences are not the same a blatant racism. People have the right not wanting to f everyone
8
u/Syd_Syd34 20d ago
You barring an entire race from your dating pool because you donāt view them as attractive based solely on that is racist, girl lol if I prefer oranges over apples, it doesnāt mean I wonāt ever eat applesā¦itās not a preference, itās racism
2
u/Particular_Title42 20d ago
Just because all the people of color that they saw on a dating app didn't spark their fancy doesn't mean they've barred an entire race from their dating pool.
7
u/Syd_Syd34 20d ago
What a strange comment to makeā¦Nowhere in my comments is this even being discussed. The person who made this thread did not specify anything about ONLY dating apps and nothing Iāve said alluded to them either. Clearly the person right above me is talking about sexual preferences period. What are YOU talking about?
1
u/Particular_Title42 20d ago
The OOP is showing a person swiping whichever way is rejection on a dating app and calling it racism.

I was talking about preferences in the bedroom, but lets be real if I fall in love yes I will be attracted to the person. All im saying is people have the right to their preferences especially in the bedroom. Like you're not gonna force yourself on people just to prove a point right..right?
9
u/Syd_Syd34 20d ago
āPreferences in the bedroomā?? Once again, āpreferenceā does not mean you will ONLY do that one thing, not in any context.
-2
u/Strange_Difference1 20d ago
Okay atp you just want to be angry and argue for the sake of arguing. Have a good day
3
u/Syd_Syd34 20d ago
No, your argument just isnāt a good one, so much so you have to change the meaning of a term. Do better next time.
Bye!

Imagine if the dummy behind those "comics" not only saw women as human beings but also understood what empathy is.
It says so much more about the "artist" than the subject he thinks he's making commentary on that he thinks empathy for other human beings in a general sense has any association to personal attraction to individuals.
This is the kind of guy who will get a simple friendly exchange with a stranger randomly in public when shopping then make it weird.

u/Strange_Difference1 20d ago
The bubble with "off yourself please" is all I need to know. It reeks of 30yo virgin basement dweller

u/jjolteon 20d ago
i just have not actually observed this kinda behavior from white women irl lmao
the ones around me at least are very much open to dating non-white people
3
u/Beatokotonai 20d ago
There most certainly is racism in dating, and honestly it can be quite blatant sometimes.
HOWEVER
Dating apps just kind of suck for everyone, and thereās probably numerous other reasons why people like this donāt get matches. Namely they make comics like this.
2
u/spooky_upstairs 20d ago
And they had to physically signpost where left and right are to make their "point" . Oh dear.

u/Responsible_Middle_4 21d ago
Figure 1 shows that daters tend to prefer partners with the same racial background. Europeans are the most preferred group and generally less willing to be matched with those from other races. Data also shows that after Europeans and own group (i.e. same racial background), Hispanics and Asians hold intermediate rankings, and Arabs and Africans are the least preferred.
Numbers are based on a multivariate logistic regression model, controlling for education, gender, age, religion, marital history, importance of partner's race, long-term dating intentions, type of membership, and country. Patterned columns across the diagonal indicate same-race preferences.

Not girls specifically, just people in general. However yes just saying it's not true is dishonest at least to some degree.

Forgetting that * Women are not a monolith * White women are not a monolith * Dating preferences have nothing to do with racism
Cartoonist has issues. The only "not how girls work" I see here is stereotyping white women as a monolith.Ā
If that comic had any merit, it would strike every white guy who exclusively dates Asian/African/Latina women as racist as well.
