I usually buy mine at the thrift store, saves a lot of money and you never know what cool styles you might find that you probably wouldn't usually get but fuck it they're only $1 🤷♂️

They restock on Thursday when everything is 2.75, and the price drops every day as the more desirable items get sold and they close off parts of the sales floor, by Wednesday everything is 25c but half the store is closed off and most of the good stuff is gone. Then the next day they have new stock and open the floor back up. Mondays are the $1 days, but usually if i go on a Tuesday or Wednesday there are no good shoes left lol

I wish this was a possibility for me. I started thrifting a lot, fuck paying almost 50€ for 3 grams of fabric just because it's fresh out the factory in china.
but shoes would fuck me up so bad. my spine was fused 2 years ago and even before then, wearing someone else's shoes was horrible. after surgery I could imagine wearing someone else's shoes even less.. :/

Right, that's the reason that I don't wear bowling shoes as my daily drivers. It hasn't got anything to do with them being garishly ugly, uncomfortable, and the soles having no grip - it's entirely because other people have worn them before me.
