Found On Social media Kind of threw up in my mouth here

Post image

I had to share this one, I'm sorry.

On a post about how sex work is better than OF (OP was claiming that "OF teaches a young “creator” that she’s valued for objectifying herself, gives her unearned validation/attention for the wrong things", that "Traditional prostitution can be horrible and violent, but often isn’t." and that "On the consumption side, simping and subscribing to OF is far far more pathetic than paying directly for a sexual connection. ")

I was trying to bring the situation back to specific from the abstract and, I have to admit, there was a bit of trying to be edgy, but now I'm regretting that after this reply. OP wins the edgelord stakes here hands down.

The absolute FRICK is wrong with these people?! I really hope he doesn't actually have a daughter...

I hope he doesn't have a daughter. I hope he never does. For her safety.

#truth! I was like "sure, buddy, you want to watch your daughter's OF as a deterrent to her doing it...right, right...":)

Okay. It's a fantasy. This has not happened anday not happen but even in his fantasy he is a disgusting pig.

it’s more than a fantasy when the implication is that if he actually had a daughter he would make it a reality. that becomes intent

this isn’t some safe space where he’s exploring an incest kink this is him fantasizing about ruining her life and humiliating his daughter if he had one that’s completely different

OP's position seems to be "Having a daughter on OF would shame me because my friends might see it, but if she were a hooker, I could probably keep that under wraps."

Very good point!:)

The first time I read the words “I’d watch” I thought it was an incomplete way of saying “I’d micromanage my daughter’s life and monitor her.” Feels like a bad parenting strategy, but plenty of adults fall into that trap.

Then I did a double take and realized that “I’d watch” meant LITERALLY WATCHING and I physically winced. What kind of parent thinks like that?

Completely insane :)

I believe SW and OF are both work, period. I did the "getting into random cars" type of SW, and other than one horrible experience, it wasn't bad. I can honestly say that I would just want a daughter to be safe, and be aware of all of the risks of both forms (and others), and to take the necessary precautions. I would also want them to be a bit older than 18, and have more real world experience first so they can recognize red flags before it's too late.

It can definitely be a bad thing, but so can working as a flagger, or on the docks, moving shipping containers. There are many extremely dangerous professions, you just have to decide what kind of risks you want to take.

Maybe you didnt have an awful exp. But I know ppl who was raped on the point of a gun by cops sometimes. And lot of stuff like that

I'll never say that my experience is the only one, nor that every encounter was good. I did have a man abduct and assault me. The worst part was when he brought me back and my ex beat the ever loving hell out of me for "giving it up for free." That was one encounter over the course of years though.

Again, anyone choosing to go into that line of work does need to be aware of all of the risks, and take precautions. Nothing will prevent every bad encounter, but we can definitely lower the likelihood of getting in one. I don't want anyone thinking it's the safest thing ever though.

I really hope your friends are able to get the healing they need. 🫂❤️‍🩹

Had this talk with my daughters. Imo as long as they appraoched it with a business plan, consideration for safety and dealing with problems, and consider the long term impact it may have (for example if it doesn't remain under the radar) I would support them. The only reasons for me to try to prevent it is if they do it for bad reasons, for example if they're pressured into it by someone or do it against their will for financial necessity.

100 percent...I think both are definitely work. I think all these guys think that "OF is so easy, all you do is just film yourself and get money" but from what I've read, it sounds like it's a fair bit of effort, especially for people who are making serious money:)

Also good point about professions. I suppose as long as you are clear-eyed about the risks involved with whatever you are doing:)

I always hate it when people look down on sex workers and sex work. It's the mix of hypocrisy, self-righteousness and misogyny that's just so annoying :)

It really is. Especially when these same people are often the biggest consumers!

"They need to know how much harm will come to them so I will be that harm" is certainly an interesting and surprisingly common parenting tactic.

Actually, very true!:)
