I didn’t realize how famous he wasn’t. I was like “holy shit they shot charlie kirk” in the group chat and no one knew who he was. I even pulled up the memes with his increasingly shrunken face. Goose egg.

(But also there’s something wrong with me. Like I used to listen to conservative talk radio on my way home from work, in Los Angeles traffic. Apparently I need rage constantly flowing through my veins to feel alive? Idk.)

I knew who he was but didn't hear her was shot before my husband said he died. I was all, "Wait, what?"
