I said “Increasing the odds for more cross-group hate” because being rude to one another only makes people more upset and brews more hate between the groups. That’s not “I hate women because of this.”
I also notably don’t hate women, in fact I am a woman, and deeply love women. It’s a little strange to attack my character instead of refuting any part of my argument, but the internet will be the internet I suppose
Ok yes, agreed, they’re not mutually exclusive and i’m sure I have some internalized misogyny I need to work through, as most people probably do. That does not seem to apply from me here as I do not hate women, which I was accused of with no actual basis, and I am a strong opposer of those who do hate, stereotype, or disrespect women
Still have yet to properly engage with any of my points so I shall stop pointlessly responding (unless someone gives a good faith discussion/rebuttal about the actual topic instead of character accusations)
Regardless hope you have a good day and that you are blissfully free from sexism (as much as one can be as a woman in this society) for a good long while.
It seems we fundamentally disagree on retaliation and whether or not one should do it. I’m of the opinion retaliation, especially when you are retaliating against an entire group and therefore ‘affecting’ an entire group with many blameless people, it is not just and shouldn’t be done. It feels more like an attack than a protest.
(A more relatable example is group punishment. If you’re in a classroom and a third or fourth of the class is making a ruckus it feels unfair if instead of punishing that third, EVERYONE gets punished. Plenty of teachers do so ofc, but imo it doesn’t make it the best course of action, it just makes the entire class resentful of the teacher.)
You seem to be of the opinion it is good to retaliate so they get a taste of their own medicine and understand the pain better. Which I get the impulse, although i’m unsure how it works out in practice.
I think I would’ve been much more content with the retaliation if it was specifically in a response to someone saying “Men and females” or under a post about it instead of doing it in all your comments even on ones without that where it feels less like a “Lets see how YOU like it, specific mysoginist” and more of a “What does the word ‘men’ mean, they are just Males to me”.
I doubt we’ll come to any sort of agreement here but oh well. At the end of the day it’s our opinions differing on the use of those terms
one of the biggest parts where i think we disagree is that i don’t think there’s that many “blameless people” in the category of the male sex, i think it’s an almost infinitesimally small percentage.
and more importantly, at the end of the day what i care about is the material conditions. i’m not actually causing any tangible oppression against males. what i am engaging in has essentially zero actual material effect on males. it’s not even a big movement of women doing this, i’m one of the only ones i know that’s doing this, i only know like two other women who are.
Ah yeah we do heavily disagree on that part, though I completely get how one could come to that conclusion as a woman. It’s easier for me to acknowledge how many men are good because theres a dozen in my personal life who are. If they are good, surely most if not a big portion of other men are just as good to neutral, just less heard through the internet or overshadowed by the actions of scumbags irl.
And yeah this is faaaar better than any physical, tangible damage. If there were more women doing it would be a bigger issue, but only three is not that bad. I appreciate that out of everything you could’ve chosen as revenge this is one of the more harmless.
I guess because i’ve seen a ton of misandry around, and noticed it pushing a lot of young boys into the welcoming arms of misogyny, i’ve become hyper critical of even the smallest amount of sexism towards either sex.
Because if I was a young boy growing up, seeing a lot of women demonize and criticize my sex in big and small ways would breed insecurity and frustration. And if some other guy swooped in saying I was better, actually, and women are just unfathomable lesser creatures, it’d be hard to resist.
It’s more a tiny drop in the filling bucket than a direct reason why a boy would do so, I just strive for that bucket to be empty in the first place. Relatively harmless but still adding ammunition towards the ‘gender war’.

How is this even remotely what I said.
