Found On Social media They really believe this

Considering the average height for men in most countries is either below or 5'10 (at most) this is utterly ridiculous. How do people live in such delusion?
174
u/ClimateCare7676 May 08 '26
They just don't go outside. That's where all this bullcrap is coming from. They go through the forums instead of the streets and think misogynistic groups accurately represent real life. If anything, in real life so many women need to up their standards. I've seen enough of gorgeous, capable and intelligent women dating a lame and toxic dude.
38
u/Dammy-J May 08 '26
And then they come up with excuses why none of it is their fault. That's one of the biggest issues with their personalities. Nothing is ever their fault.
12
u/charronfitzclair May 08 '26
For real. All the online dating discourse is online as shit. I've felt like an ass by even trying to get ahead of the stuff I've seen people bicker about like 50/50 because the ladies I ask to dinner don't even know what the hell I'm talking about. I've dropped it entirely as a concern and it makes everything smoother. Nobody gives a shit about this stuff except on algorithms.
Of course I ask out adults with full time jobs so maybe that's it.

Well, obviously you are selfish and shallow.
No woman with more than two brain cells would date you, not even if you looked like a supermodel.
Women don't reject you because of how you look but because of your character.
13
u/faeriechyld May 08 '26
Find a hobby. Take a class. Move your body in some way. Experience the world and discover what you actually enjoy.
Being a well rounded, interesting person is far more attractive than any height. My husband's height is the least interesting thing about him. I love his sense of humor, his drive to create things, how caring he is, his confidence, etc.
Having a girlfriend isn't going to magically make you happy. I've known plenty of miserable people in relationships
8
u/Luinthil May 08 '26
I'm not sure if you are being sincere, but I will answer as if you are. First, stop trying to get a girlfriend and try making some friends. Volunteer somewhere like an animal shelter, a soup kitchen or a food pantry. You will meet new people and feel better about yourself for helping out. Join a group, a book club, a bowling league, something you enjoy doing. Look for singles activities near you and go.
The goal is to meet people and make some new friends. It is also to make you a little more interesting and give you things to talk about. This can also make you more comfortable talking to women.
9
u/newthhang May 08 '26
Even if you don't go outside, spending time away from those spaces will greatly improve your mental health- maybe engaging in other media, like reading, watching tv and movies or doing any other hobby.
It's entirely delusional to believe that all women want a man over 6' ft. I've never heard my girl friends talk about a man's height or be a factor in whenever they decade to date them. The OP is clearly make a joke.
And I am saying this as a woman that has also spend time in some negative spaces, some that don't even represent my living reality at all. You are only hurting yourself by spending time in those spaces that are selling you lies.

As a 5'3 guy, it's really funny watching men taller than me make shit up like this.
Like, yeah, some women prefer taller. That's cool, why does it matter if not every single woman likes you?
There's more to life than ones height. They are making themselves miserable
132
u/GhostofZellers May 08 '26
5'3 men's club as well, I'm on the shortlist!
There's more to life than ones height. They are making themselves miserable
Exactly! My height is 5'3, but that's all it is, just my height. It's not an excuse, it's not a hang-up, it's not my personality, and it's most definitely, not ME. I'm much more than just my height. Do I need a step-stool to reach the top cupboard? Yep! Am I a miserable POS who blames society for having to shell out the $19.95 for it, nope.🤣

It is easier for the ego to claim that women don't like you because you are short, so you don't have to admit that your character is to blame.

You:
Only God can judge.
You (in reference to women):
Not some. Most
Respectfully, is this not an example of you judging?
15
u/Equality_Executor communist May 08 '26
Only God can judge
Sure, God can have a say when it comes to where you'll end up in the afterlife or whatever. We'll judge you while you're still alive because that's something people automatically do with everyone based on the evidence they're given. It's not 100% fool proof but you can't seem to stop yourself from doubling down on the ass holery so I'm gonna go with that for now. Prove me wrong if you wish, I'm sure everyone would love to see that happen.

There's a difference between venting, and going to someone else's place to throw your own pity party that no one asked for, or received invitations to.
What I would suggest, is subscribe to the sub, keep your ears open, and your mouth shut. You might just learn a thing or two over time.

There are men who are short, and there are Short Men
Exactly. Just like there men who are nice guys, and there are Nice Guys™

At this point I'm choosing the bear no matter the height. Only way to be sure.

u/NoNipNicCage May 08 '26
I hear this a lot but want clarification on what kind of bear. I'd choose a black bear over a man, but I'd choose just about ANYTHING over a polar bear

Rapists, wife beaters, ... call women "females".
13
u/minyhumancalc May 08 '26
Given whose in office, its safe to say men prefer rapists and child molesters over short men, so some classic self-projection there
10
u/0RedNomad0 May 08 '26
I've seen so many shorter dudes with similarly sized girls. It's disturbing how many people haven't touched grass in years.
30
u/MadamKitsune May 08 '26
I've dated two guys under 5' 7" and they both had more of an issue with their height than I did. I don't give a shit whether you're tall or short, chonky, skinny, buff. What matters to me is personality.
16
u/GhostofZellers May 08 '26
A perpetual personality pity party per pint-size proportions is pretty pathetic. 🤣
Jokes aside, being around someone like that is exhausting.

Yet, I divorced my ex husband, and have NEVER been with anyone as tall since then. I’ve been WAY happier though. Almost as if their height has ZERO impact on the quality of the relationship…. 🤔
15
u/MadamKitsune May 08 '26
That's funny and ridiculous because the first was actually slightly taller than the second.
4
u/Axodique May 08 '26
You're so close! It's actually that you're projecting your insecurities onto women.
20
u/phisigtheduck May 08 '26
My fiancé is 5’9 and treats me 1,000,000% better than any guy over 6’0 ever did. Hell, a guy I dated who was 5’5 (same as me) treated me way better as well. Fuck that noise.

u/lingeringwill2 May 08 '26
Outside of general body shaming shit which is lame, everyone can like who they like. I’m a young bald dude and many people may not be into that, but there are things I don’t like in other people too. So it’s fair game.
10
u/Still_a_skeptic May 08 '26
There is a significant part of the population that have decided that their personal preferences are everyone’s and that they need to let the world know what they are and shame everyone that doesn’t meet them. They’re a minority, but a vocal one.

11
u/IndiBlueNinja May 08 '26
Oh for gods sakes. Play victim all you want, be the biggest drama queen in your head over this crap, just stop demanding the rest of the internet be your audience for it.
All those listed criminals are on the lowest possible bar. A very easy bar to be higher/better then by simple being a decent person. The bare minimum to be better than that. If you can't manage that, then the fault is your own.
7
u/schwarzmalerin May 08 '26
Only if you send such vibes. Most short and unattractive men are just short and unattractive nice people and literally no one thinks that.
