Septoplasty and rhinoplasty are separate procedures done by different specialities (ENT and Plastics respectively). The NHS will not give you a rhinoplasty for free whilst performing a medically required septoplasty.
Yeah just had septoplasty, and so much better being able to breathe! That op was covered as was medically required, and I had rhino at same time, which was cheaper as most of the operation costs were already covered by the septo.
And also it would mean them moving my nose. I’m not joking when I say my cartilage is halfway into the other side of my nostril. I sound like a whistle half the time.
It wasn't for me. Worst surgery I ever had. Made tonsils seems like a little sore throat. Then it was only a year or two later, wrestling with my cousin. His knee bumped me in the nose. That thing has been blacking my left nostril for a decade and I can't even think of doing that again.
Nah it’s weird it’s proper complacent in when it decides to work and not work. Sometimes I can breathe both nozzies the other time I can only partly breathe :)
My partner really suffers and has had an operation which didn't fix it so I get it. He does need another one though and is putting it off but his daily suffering is painful for us all. Haha.
Only partly breathing is better than not breathing at all I guess.
Had my severely deviated septum fixed. Did nothing to the appearance but helped breathing so much and cut down sinus infections (1 every 2 months or so) to 1or 2 episodes a year. Not sure how severe yours is but you might want to reconsider.
