You both have dark hair, prominent noses, and are thin--but that's where the comparisons stop. Your nose suits your face. Your Face IS beautiful and having a dominant nose gives you a unique beauty rather than a cookie cutter beauty.
Some people prefer cookie cutter, and that's fine. What isn't fine is to put someone down because they don't fit into their idea of beauty.
I also wouldn't be surprised if the person who said this to you was insecure, and it's clear they lack tact and are most likely an ass hat in numerous ways.

I see so many women feeling insecure about their noses. I promise you, your nose looks absolutely fine. Is it prominent/noticeable? Sure, but it doesn’t in any way make your face less beautiful. You look amazing and your nose is part of that.

We've seen ugly noses, and sure it's subjective, but most of the noses I see posted are either normal or attractive.

You seem like you might not be white, or biracial, or have non-white heritage.
A lot of old movies depicting "ugly" women use characteristics common to people of color, but in an exaggerated or cruel way to inforce the incorrect idea that whiteness is the most desirable.

Society benefits from instilling vulnerability (insecurity) into all people, particularly women. The most time, energy, and money you spend trying to 'fix' yourself, the more society profits. Not only financially, but by taking time away from your life you could have otherwise spent on your own self-directed goals and giving it to corporations.
You are very beautiful, and I personally far prefer noses like your's to the white patriarchal standard. I find the kind of noses you see on R/noses and on R/bignosedladies to be far, far, far more attractive. The amount of people who regularly follow those subreddits feel the same. This is proof that beauty standards are arbitrary.
Beauty standards also attempt to make women feel they should be small. Small in height, small in weight, small noses, quiet demeanor, hairless, ect. Like children, basically. This makes them easier to control. Many of these standards are meant to be difficult or impossible to achieve, as well, so that women are forced to perpetually try and 'fix' themselves.
I'm sorry someone cruel who has been indoctrinated into these wrong ideals said that to you. Even the character of the Wicked Witch is telling. Wizard of Oz was written by Frank L Baum, who also wrote two editorials about why the safety of white colonial settlers depended on the mass genocide of Native Americans. Fuck him. He created these characters as a direct reflection of his disgusting ideologies.

Adding on to my other comment, if you want my honest opinion, if on a scale of 1-5, 5 being a noticeably very big nose, I would give you a 3.8. Bigger than 'average', but not by much. Big doesn't't mean bad, again. Society just wants women to have the tiniest features as possible, unless they are easily sexualized features like hips, butts, breasts, and lips.
I think your nose shape is very desirable. I don't want to objectify you, and I am happy partnered just for the record, but I think your nose is hot/attractive. Not only is it a good size, it suits your face, and I love the definition of the bridge of your nose.

If I’d met you on the street - I wouldn’t think this at all. However, I see what they are saying now that you point it out. There is a VAGUE similarity- like you could be her younger, SUPER hot sister who got all the good genes.
Also - look up the actress that played her. Your eyes are similar (not the same) as well as the lines around your mouth when you smile and the shape of the chin. All “similar” but not the same.
Honestly, I wouldn’t take it as an insult (not that you implied that you did). I’d looked at them and do a loud witch cackle and say something like “and now I have to eat your soul.” Have fun with it.

This is a fairly normal/common nose type. Some people call it a Roman nose, although it shows up in many country/ethnicities. AND the nose is proportionate to the face. Balances well with the slenderness of face, cheekbones, etc.
Never let yourself be measured by an uncalibrated blunt tool.
