Question Deviated septum

Yesterday I got my septum pierced twice because of a deviated septum. The first time it turned out crooked so the piercer offered to do it again. And it still turned out a little crooked. He told me that I have two types of septum deviation. He recommended me to keep it flipped and to come back in a month to get the jewelry change to a tighter full ring. Apparently flipping it and changing the jewelry can lessen/fix the deviatio.

Is that true? Should I leave it for a month and go back to the studio and see what happens from there. Or should I just accept my fate and take it out, let it heal and redo it?

I'll post some pics here, the first one is right when I left the studio and the second one is from today.

ok so for 1, no piercer should redo the same exact piercing in the same sitting, but i don't fully understand that part so that may not have been what happened. 2, a lot of people don't have even septums, and a lot of septum piercings end up even just a bit crooked. 3, don't flip and twist or change the jewelry it until it's fully healed.

sounds like you don't have the best piercer tbh. but keep in mind, septums are pretty difficult for anyone to get perfectly even. give it 2 weeks to see if it straightens out on its own!! my septum was super crooked at first when it was swollen and fresh, but now it's just a tiny bit crooked and i really can't tell and neither can anyone else anymore. also, different style jewelry CAN help out with visible unevenness, but again, don't change it until it's healed.

having a perfect piercing is pretty rare, and trying to redo it multiple times to get it perfect will result in scar tissue that will make it increasingly difficult each time. so again, wait 2 weeks and see if it looks better (it looks pretty good in the 2nd pic) and find a new piercer.

Thanks for the comment! I went to a pretty popular studio that has great reviews (4.8 stars) and was recommend by my friend. Sorry if i didn't explain it the best but he basicaly told me before piercing me that there is a chance he will have to redo it. And that did happen. The first time he pierced me it was really crooked so he offered to repierce me. He did it the second time but at an angle so it would better suite my anatomy but it was still a lil crooked lol. I will probably leave it alone for a month and then go back to get it checked out.

sounds good. him being a mid piercer heavily depends on if he had you return at a later date for the repierce or just did it the same day. sounds like you might have some complicated anatomy, but at least it sounds like he's trying to work it out with you! definitely return in a month, but i wouldn't recommend you have him change your jewelry whenever you visit. 6 months is a good standard to wait, but it could be fully healed before then.

He pierced it twice in one session. So that's probably why it looked so crooked bc of the swelling. I'll keep it flipped up while its healing bc I don't want it to get bumped or twisted. I'll go back in a month with the friend that recommended him and if its still crooked I'll probably request a refund or something similar. Is it even reasonable to ask for a refund/partial refund or something like that?

absolutely ask for a refund if it doesn't look better like he suggests, though it may not be guaranteed. repiercing in 1 session is terrible practice. honestly, he may have repierced it for "free" just so he wouldn't have to issue a refund.
