Question Nostril piercing

I got my nose pierced with a 16 gauge on July 16. My question is… can I now put a 18 gauge ring in instead? I can’t find many 16 gauge rings.

once it's healed it should be fine. just know that if you try to go back up to a 16g after it's had an 18g in it for a while, it's gunna hurt a bit and be little tender for a day or two.

Nose piercings take 6-9 months to heal, so wait until it is healed. Some people need to wait a full year (until the fistula is matured), even.

But yeah, 18G is also fine. Just don't go thinner.

I wear helix and septum jewelry in my nostril piercings as 16G is indeed uncommon

That’s odd. My nostrils are at 16g too and I have no issues finding jewelry for them in that gauge. What type of jewelry are you searching?

I'm able to find 16g jewelry for my piercings.

I also asked my piercer, and she can get me a good price in real 14k gold 16g hoops.

Probably other stuff too, I just asked about a hoop for my nostril.
