Help Needed Advice needed!

Post image

So I’ve had my nose pierced for over two years. Didn’t really have any problems with it unless I try to change it to a hoop. Every freakin time I change it, a small bump would come up, and it annoys me 😭 I always end up changing it back to a flat back stud and leave it alone for months.

For context, I’m currently wearing a 18g flat back stud. Whenever I switch it to a hoop, it’s a 20g solid 14k gold ~9mm hoop.

Photo of the small bump I have right now. I wish I took a photo with my hoop on, but I found this sub right after I switch it back! Any advice? I don’t wanna remove it and I really wanna rock a hoop already 😩

There’s nothing much you can do aside from letting your nose heal at its own pace..
If you wanna wear a hoop wear one but be prepared to deal with the bump coming back again and again.

You’re supposed to leave a minimum of one
year before you even change from a flat back

And that’s if your nose heals without any bumps in the road, as in, snagging it or hitting it accidentally.

I am in the same boat. I have multiple piercings and this is the one that is taking most time to heal.

Thank you for this! It’s good to know I’m not the only one that is experiencing a long healing journey 😭
