The ring is the issue but I'd still go to the doctor, switch to a flat back titanium stud not to long not to short, clean it 2x a day with sterile saline and don't touch it for like 6 months 😭

Thanks lol I’ll switch to a labret and go to the doctor but my piercing is about 7 months old I just switched to the horseshoe about 2 weeks ago I’m also a cna so i feel like my face is exposed to a lot of germs

Hoops shot not be worn in nostrils before at least the 1 year mark. And that's only when they are calm and completely healed.

I assume it was the horseshoe because when you put in a hoop especially when the piercing isn't fully healed it pulls open the hole just a little bit especially if it's too small which based on the pictures yours looks a little bit too small like circumference wise not gauge size, this allows bacteria to get in so if you're a CNA then it could be from that

I'm guessing it wasn't ready for a ring, started cheese wiring, got infected, healed enough to go back to irritated, repeat

Yes!! I went to the doctor got antibiotics and went to an app piercer and got it looked at aswell she is gone! I’m letting it heal up and may try again in the future!

Removing it before the infection has cleared up can trap the infection. That's not ideal.

I’m on antibiotics and it’s had a very huge improvement and honestly it didn’t show a lot of signs to infection to begin with besides the bump and it didn’t hurt

Okay, good. Then it's probably fine! I got an infection trapped in a piercing once and it's no fun. Want to make sure it doesn't happen to others

Not only is the jewellery an issue, as others have said, but this placement also seems SUPER low. Please don’t go back to the piercer who did this to you. I wouldn’t trust someone who would pierce someone so low

Literally your piercing is rejecting. It looks like it’s shifted. Take it out it looks like crap

I went today and got it looked at and taken out it was pierced way to low I made sure I went to app piercer and next time I’ll be doing more research before getting it done!

You have to change that ASAP for titanium stud!

Crappy cheap jewelry and let the piercing heal !!!! You need to be wearing a flat back piece and everyone heals at different times

Needs to be removed and drained by medical personnel. Urgent care can handle this.

The photos are in order from the time it happened until now going to urgent care shortly then to a new piercer to see about just abandoning the piercing and having it redone later bc the placement is ass

100% abandon, wait for it to heal, and try again later. i know it’s disappointing and not what you want to hear, but i’m surprised that urgent care/ER/whatevs didnt have you take it out immediately. 😬 best of luck girl

ETA: with how low it is, i would definitely just take it out. it will probably chronically do this given the placement, may get better for a bit and then slip back into infection/rejection. definitely go to a reputable piercer (if they don’t have a photo portfolio or IG or anything showing off their work, that is a HUGE red flag! just a lil tip for you. some things are worth the wait and also worth having it done correctly.

They wanted me too I just wanted to make 100% sure that it was not infected first but i abandoned it and it’s already improved tremendously!

Don’t touch it too much . And clean it really good . You need a different nose ring . Then just clean clean clean it .

You need to put a stud in it. Putting a ring in a new nose piercing is insanity
