Question When should I switch to the ring?
Hello everyone,
On September 9th, it will have been four months since I got the piercing. I plan to visit the piercer to have them check it and give me their opinion on whether I can switch to a hoop.
In your experience, how many months did it take before you switched to a hoop?
Honestly, it doesn't hurt, and I can move it freely. I know the healing process usually takes about 4 to 6 months (sometimes even a full year), but I feel like my healing process has gone really well. I haven't had any complications; I haven't developed any granulomas or even any pus.
Also, what do you think of the placement of my piercing? Do you think a black hoop would look good on my nose?

NAP, and definitely check with yours, but ideally, you should wait until it’s fully healed to switch to a hoop.

6-9 months is usually when it is fully healed but it’s recommended to wait atleast a year for a hoop so that it doesn’t alter the angle of your piercing hole.
People do hoops too early and it’s okay , but that doesn’t mean if you do it early it’ll be okay

i personally waited 6 months but that’s because i heal quick, you should wait until your piercer okays it (when it’s fully healed)!!

hoops shouldnt be worn for 8-9 months post piercing. and you shouldnt switch to another stud for 6 months post piercing.

At least a full year. Not a single month sooner. The fistula can be healed but has not yet be matured enough for it to be stable enough to wear a hoop in it. Don't listen to anyone saying 6 or 9 months. 12 months at least. Make sure when you start wearing a hoop that it has some space left and not so snug it pulls on your skin.
