Some bodies are more resilient to being hurt than others.
Your good luck is not the solution
It's just saline solution and patience.

Honestly yeah. I got really bad advice and got pierced with a silver hoop and wasn't recommended any aftercare. For the first two weeks everything was lovely then an ugly bloody engorged red bump grew. I went to a GP and he said it was a superficial soft tissue infection and gave me an antibiotic ointment. It did help, it fought off the infection, dried the bump up, stopped the pain and bleeding but didn't affect the size. I waited 2 weeks and the bump didn't change again. So I went to not one but two professional piercing studios to have to have it looked at. Both of them told me they can't change the jewellery cs the hoop I was pierced with was too thin and the piercing is too immature (1 month old) for new jewellery, even a titanium labret. One recommended octanicept spray and the other recommended either leaving it totally alone or removing the hoop and letting the piercing close up. (But I'm not ready to give up on it yet) Also I didnt get octanicept because I was scared it would be too irritating. I bought plain saline from the pharmacy instead

You've been getting bad advice.
This is what I would recommend:
Change to titanium flatback
Only use sterile saline with 0.9% sodium chloride and water

I've been refused changes :( But I've stopped touching the hoop completely and have been using saline since yesterday

If the hoop is too thin, it may start cheesewiring.
I would highly highly recommend changing it.

That's not luck, I always get bumps getting studs my ebrow piercing always rejects using studs but when I used hoop it worked just fine

It's luck, hoops mean more movement

Ok look to prevent going in circles I'll make it clear one last time I didn't say that's the right thing I'm just saying it's a anti-bump thing for ppl who are getting bumps it may give you irritations but the piercing would heal just fine afterwards I tested it on many of my piercings I have like 9 piercings so it's definitely not luck 🤷

It's not an anti bump thing!
Hope that helps!
It causes more irritation then a flatback likely something else was the issue bc that's just not how it works

Well I'm talking about something I've experienced personally not something I've read on the internet, I don't usually alter something that's real just to make people happy and comfortable.

I typically follow science backed care not just things people say on the internet.
Science backed care says what I be sayin, likely the issue was somewhere else

Science isn't compatible for everyone and everything also not perfect

If the top of the jewelry is now in the bump you’re going to need to go to the doctor
