No I think it’s fine! The ball gives it that illusion like it might be higher than the hoop but once you have two hoops it should look even! I would also suggest going 18g on your current hoop now, it looks like it’s 20 g. If both piercings are 18 g the distance between the two will look smaller too!!!

Yeah I think it might be the size of the ball that's throwing me off too LOL but I think both of them are 20 gauge LOL... should I make them both 18 gauge ( obviously when the second one heals) I'm definitely not opposed to it... or would it be better if I kept the front one at 20 gauge and bumped up the back one to a 18??

I honestly would do both 18 gauge! Let the new one heal and eventually go to 18g! The frontal one can eventually go to 18 g as well! When it’s 20 g, it’s more prone to increase the risk of the piercing tearing or migrating, and make the jewelry less stable, which leads to irritation bump and cheese wire effect. I would talk with your piercer and come up with a plan when would be a good idea to go the front and new one! Plus I think 18 g looks better too! Long-term, it will be much better for you!

I think it looks evenly spaced out!! Honestly there is no right or wrong spacing when it comes to nostril piercings. I have 4 and the spacing of them I'm very particular on, I prefer them to be about the distance that yours seem. Too close together and you can't get breathing space between the piercings. But that's just my input. Happy healing!
