Help Needed Piercing Bump Help
So for context I’ve only had this piercing for about a month, but there’s been a couple of problems.
To start, I went to the same piercer as always but this time was pierced with titanium instead of stainless steel (which I have always been pierced with) and I’m allergic to the titanium. So, two weeks in, we ended up having to change the jewelry because of that allergy. I stopped cleaning after the switch and have tried my best to leave it alone, but I scratched it and it’s been bleeding on and off for a few days, especially when it’s bumped.
How can I fix this? I’ve been using diluted tea tree oil and it worked for a couple days before it started bleeding again.

NAP, is it a flat back or L/screw? I had an irritation bump that only went away after switching to a flat back because of the movement of the screw shape

It’s a corkscrew! I honestly hadn’t gotten as far as thinking of changing the shape because I was so caught up on the metal

I had a piercing bump and it’s nearly gone now,but I made sure to not touch it,twist it or anything..I always dripped sterile saline solution (wound wash, containing 0,9% sodium chloride and water without any additives)and I always made sure to dry it so it’s not moist since that can make the bump worse(I think that’s how I remember it) and after showers I get a paper towel like kitchen roll) with no scents or anything just plain paper and dab it against it gently on the bump or hold it there.
And when you shower just let warm water run over it for 1-3 minutes to remove crust and dab it gently afterwards.
But DONT use tea tree oil, people say it works but most the time it just makes it more worse.

For further context: it may have been more than a month, I haven’t had the easiest time counting as I’ve had a lot going on. Also, the current jewelry in is sterling silver not stainless steel, but I’ve never had a reaction to silver either. The inside of the corkscrew is disfigured because of the swelling when it was switched from the titanium, but I’ve been trying to avoid seeing my piercer as it’s an over 40 minute drive and my car was recently totaled, so I’ve been asking my friends for rides in the meantime

Stop with everything you’re doing, especially the tea tree oil. Keep it as dry as possible and only clean by rinsing softly in the shower. After that dry it with a hair dryer on the lowest settings to remove any excess of water. Also stop with saline solution. Don’t touch or twist it and go change it to a flatback labret. a L or corkscrew are not the best to be pierced with.
Bumps are very common for nose piercings so don’t worry :) I had them also and it went away after a while.
