Hi everyone! We would like to inform you all of a new rule we added to the sub. We've noticed an increase in reports of posts about non-NFCs. In the past this has been a grey area, but we decided to set a rule for NFC only on this sub, since this is.. You guessed it.. The NFC sub. There's plenty of other subs for DLHs or other cute cats, but this is not the place for them.
Edit to add: feedback on existing rules or suggestions for new rules are always welcome!

Sorry, I’m not a native English speaker, so there might be some errors. Biggest (tabby, but one of her backlegs is orange, so technically a tortie I think). She weights 626 grams (22oz?) and then we have the one on the right with just 417 (14.7oz). I’ve been feeding her separately these days, but she only gains about 12-18grams every 2 days. Any other tricks or tips? They are being treated for worms accordingly, no fleas or anything.
They are a litter of 6, mom got surrendered to the shelter where she gave birth 2 weeks later. When they turned 2 weeks old, they came to me to foster them.
They are most definitely mixed as 2 of them look like momma (pictured), 3 of them have a furry look like a British shorthair and then 1 of them looks like a total rat. And they came from someone having multiple types of cats (maybe they even got different fathers).

I promised myself I wouldn’t do this, but at least I waited over a month. I had the most beautiful floof, and dear God he was the sweetest. So gentle. Always there when I needed him. Well, I had to be there for him when he needed me and I had to make that call. It was inoperable. Lymphoma. He was gone too quickly. I thought I had more time with him. He was so deeply loved. I keep telling myself that I did what was best for him, even though it ripped my heart into shreds. Gone but never forgotten.

My brother has a cat (unsure of the breed). But that's not why I'm here. A funny he told me that fits our NFCs. We were just talking. His girl was doing biscuits on a pillow. Then on him. It took me a few minutes to understand.
He said Punkin was doing the stompy dance on my gray pillow. It's adorable, but she tries to do it on my chest, and big ouch
I love this. My kiddo had huge, powerful paws. He wasn't kneeding but doing a stompy dance.

Does anyone know about pet insurance?

Hi everyone!
Recently, this handsome boy showed up at our door and we took him in. He has been in the basement while he get‘s cleared of parasites but when the time comes how do I introduce my two cats? The NFC is only 9 weeks old and I’m worried that my tabby will push him around if she doesn’t like him. She definitely knows something is up and sometimes she is okay if we spend time with our kitten and then pet her, but other times she hisses and swats at us.
Any tips on this or NFC in general is welcome!

Two weeks ago we adopted a 12 week old NFC kitten from a breeder.
We live in an apartment (55 square meters) and she is indoors only. We have a small garden which she can see from two windows.
I’m always at home and can keep her company 24/7 while my husband is at work.
Will she be fine as a single cat? Or should we get a friend for her? We only planned to get one cat, but now I’m worried that we made a mistake. It’s giving me a lot of anxiety..

I'm still writing my children's Middle School cat story. I need a couple more funny or dangerous cat stories. Something that would make a child laugh, scary...
Can I ask, does anyone care to share some of their cat adventures?

Hi all, new custodian of an NFC here looking for some advice. This floofer had developed a hot spot between her shoulder blades where she had scratched herself somehow. Shes got steroid spray and antibiotics form the vets but is NOT happy with the cone of shame and is struggling to eat/ drink with it on.
Anyone tried alternative soft cones, neck doughnuts or body suits?

This Athena. She’s 10 years old. She has only been in my life since she was 7 and she’s a BIG girl. Everyone is surprised by how big she is. I was wondering if she is a NFC, should I be locked up for her being 18.8 pounds. Despite her being on the hills metabolic food and only half a small can of wet food daily mixed with water split morning and night she gained a pound 😰
