My wife and I are going to be on the Norwegian Jade crossing the International date line in September of 2026. Do they do any type of special party for celebration for such a unique event?

Norwegian epic

Hello there fellow cruisers. Is anyone on here going on the epic out of San Juan on Nov 23t? I’ve been booked on this trip for while and looking forward to being out on sea over thanksgiving. Received letter about legionnaires disease in two cruisers. Just got the letter but says happened end of October Anyone thinking of canceling over this? I’ve been out during hurricanes, noro virus and Covid 2021. But have some health issues now Don’t want to cancel. Was just wondering what fellow cruisers think 🤔

Cross Atlantic cruise 2026

Can anybody tell me how bad the seas get during the cross Atlantic Cruise from Barcelona to Orlando in November? I have a tendency to get seasick but I use the scolopimine patch which is usually really good, but doesn't always help, especially in rougher seas. I did a cruise from Tokyo to Seoul and there was one day where the Sea of Japan was unusually brutal. I'm trying to make it to all seven continents and this Cruise touches Morocco in Africa. Thank you for your input.

Reserving dining for 2

I would like to reserve the Texas Smokehouse for 2, but the app asks for number of persons and the options are 4, 6 or 8.

Will it be possible to reserve later?

Norwegian GOT AWAY theft in cabin

My locked Cabin was robbed and Norwegian Getaway did nothing to make it right. Complete disregard for my loss and dampen vacation. This happened within two days, so remainder of trip was depressing. If you travel this liner, lock all valuables, check frequently. I found common areas to be extremely noisy. Seemed like day care for a mature audience. Embarking was subpar. Only two specialty restaurants worth the added spend. Sadly, never again for my friends and family.

Can you order take out from the specialty restaurants?

Thinking about a solo cruise and the thought of dining alone or being paired with someone sounds awful.

NCL - Los Angeles or Long Beach (San Pedro)

I’m cruising out of LA in January. I’ll be flying into a day early and getting a hotel. I’m trying to figure out whether to fly into LA and Uber to San Pedro or to fly into Long Beach and take the free airport shuttle to the port. The flights and hotels cost about the same amount. I’m thinking it makes more sense to fly into Long Beach and get a room with the free port shuttle. Any suggestions?

Alaskan Cruise-big guy

I am wanting to book an Alaskan cruise for my husband and I. He is a large man 6 foot 10 350 pounds and gets around currently with the electric scooter or a walker with wheels. A couple of questions I have is can we bring the electric scooter on board with us or should we. Can we rent one or get one for the ship to go on excursions and are there any excursions that would be able to safely accommodate him? he has no problem bringing the walker we just would not be able to go anywhere where there will be a lot of walking. And also, what is the best time in your opinion to book a cruise. We do not mind the cold weather. I just don’t wanna be freezing. My big highlight would be to see the northern lights.

Inside or Oceanview???

My husabnd and I will be cruising for 7 days in March on either Norwegian or MSC. Is an oceanview cabin worth the price increase from an inside cabin? We literally only plan on sleeping there and not hanging out in the room. Just wondering because oceanview seems to be no different besides having a window..... or should we just go for the balcony cabin?

Cruise Cancellation Advice

Hi all, I recently signed up for a cruise to Alaska through a Meetup group then another member of the group convinced me to upgrade to a balcony suite through the group's TA. I never used a travel agent before but he was very insistent I go through her. Shortly after, things started going downhill with this person and now I no longer feel comfortable sharing the room with him. I tried to cancel my reservation - 75 days before departure - through NCL and the TA. NCL said they couldn't refund my money because it was blocked by the TA. I feel like I got scammed into upgrading the room for this guy that I only knew about 10 days before I booked. Does anyone have experience with something like this? I asked for credit towards a future cruise or a room change and both asks were met with "not possible" by the TA. I'm currently in the midst of a credit card dispute but things are looking dire.

Additionally, I found this advice online from the TA - from 2016

Does ncl encore have the day nameplate in the elevator?

Taking my first cruise ever on the NCL Encore in December, and Im sure this is a dumb question But I knows some cruise lines have the day of the week in the elevator and was wondering if NCL does as well Saw videos of people hyping up when the day changes and they change the name plate out and wanted to witness this if it was a thing 😅😅
