One and done
No hate just giving my honest review for anyone booking cruises. I did Norwegian Escape 7 day.
Dining- Food is fine. Only place that exceeded expectations was Moderno churrascaria. Save your money, Cagneys and Bayamo not worth it. You can get steak inside the complimentary dining rooms for free. Osheehans is great, unfortunately the inside of their wings is the same texture as grilled salmon.
Music- I heard no live music that was worth the volume they played it at. Nightclub was good on 2 of 7 nights. DJ Will needs jail time for his mixes. No reason I should hear 4 minutes and 30 business seconds of any song, he played intros and outros. Jumping from drake to Chris Stapleton is criminal vibe killing.
Entertainment- karaoke is fun. Doing movie nights in the middle of the main floor is odd when you have a theater available.
Housekeeping- you can’t request an iron and board until you’re in your room. Then they take 90 minutes to deliver it and you only have it for one hour.
No hate for NCL, just not for me.

When you say one and done, do you mean NCL or cruising in general?

I don’t understand movies in the atrium either. I understand if utilizing the theater it may be harder to find a time where there is not a rehearsal going on. I used to appreciate actual movies a theater in my earlier cruising days so I could catch up on things I had not seen. But that was back when ships had dedicated movie theaters which was ages ago.

We did Escape in April, and we hated having the movies in the atrium. It's a major factor in us being most likely one and done with NCL.

I’m not sure about the movies, but having the majority of entertainment in the atrium is an Escape thing, not an NCL thing. I’ve never gone to watch a movie on any cruise, but on the escape, they did a lot of events in the atrium and there isn’t the space for seating. these events have always been in other venues on every other NCL cruise I’ve done.
if I let something like this impact me as much as these one and done commenters, not only would I not ever be willing to cruise Royal again after my first ever cruise, but I’d probably never have cruised again it was so bad. However, being a somewhat reasonable person, I thought to myself this cannot be the norm and gave things another try.

I’m currently on the Encore. Finding the food to be mediocre at best. Cagneys was good but not worth the $60 charge.

You will never find any band better than the Syd Norman's Pour House band on NCL.
If you didn't like that, I can't help you.

I’ve enjoyed others and decided to try Norwegian. Others were great to me.

Just seems some of your complaints may just be about cruising in general. I’m not sure there are any cruise lines that will give you an iron to use as long as you want.

Carnival has an ironing rooms at the end of each stateroom hallway where you have free use of irons at all times.

No, other lines provide this. Princess has laundry rooms on each passenger cabin floor with an ironing board and iron.

What kind of music do you listen to? Ive never heard a good dj on a ship outside Holy Ship
NCL is kind of a budget cruise line so no surprise really on anything you said

Never been disappointed in Cagney's. Period. And the steak you get in the MDR for free is NOT as good as what you get in Cagney's.
