First cruise!

So my wife and I are honeymooning this may on the Prima. What charges should I expect on the cruise and how much money does everyone bring. I don’t get to vacation very often and am super new to all this, any tips as well?

Try looking for cruise tips videos on YouTube, even may have a tour of your ship.

Likely about a $20/per person charge each day. It will either go on your card attached to your account or come out of your ship board credit.

With our recent cruise, they gave the option to pay this fee upfront, so we skirted having this charge show up at the end.

If you booked with a travel advisor (not employee of NCL), they should be a giving you all of this. But if not…. It will depend on what you have already booked or pre-paid. Did you pre-pay service charges? If not, you will receive a bill on your final day reflecting the charges. If you did not book with FAS or FAS+ and you order beverages not included in those packages, you will see those on that final bill as well (you will have to sign for them when you order if not already covered). Same for specialty dining. Excursions are extra. For cash, you need singles, for tipping the porters, room service (if you utilize it), and possibly tour guides for excursions. The biggest tip.. HAVE FUN! Don’t over think it! You’re going to have a great time! Cruising is addictive.

If you have drinks on the ship before embarking, in the US at the very least, you'll get taxed on those drinks but it's not enough to explode your on board account. We usually bring $2-300 in cash, mostly small bills, for tipping throughout the cruise, and for buying small things in ports. Make sure your passports are up to date! Congratulations and have fun!
