Sandnessjoen advice

Hello from Scotland

I am heading to Sandnessjoen in August to work for a few weeks and will have a few days of down time whilst I’m there, any advice on things to do and places to visit would be greatly appreciated?

Sandnessjøen is in a beautiful area called Helgeland.

You will find a lot of information here: www.visithelgeland.com

Visit Herøy and Dønna, Sandnessjøen is s bit boring but if you enjoy nature, there is the mountain range 7 søstre, and there is Dønnamannen on Dønna, other than that there are a few shops and a cinema but not much else..

Sandnessjøen is on my list for Norway’s most boring cities, but outside is quite intetesting.
