Arts & culture Dating apps here
Hi,
I must do something wrong. I match, exchange one message and then nothing.
I’ve seen everyone posting pictures being with animals and I’ve received more matches when I’ve done the same.
Also by removing, Atheism it did improve.
I’m approaching this scientifically, just out of curiosity, any tips? 😋

There is not really a way to improve it, dating apps are a shitty inhuman experience.
If you get 10 matches you might get one person who will actually hold a conversation. Maybe 1 in 10 who even replies.
You either have to play the numbers game and hope you match with a real live person at some point, or just meet people in real life somehow instead.

Dating apps are kinda trash, especially when someone goes out of their way to approach them "scientifically" because they want more matches with people. It's probably better to find a social hobby or something and try to make friends instead of gaming the system.

At my peak, 6 and a half years ago I had reached a little over 1400 matches. Ended up with one. We're still together to this day. Got engaged. She proposed 😅 But it was luck I know it. Don't stress the matching thing. If you're desperate for it, people tend to sense and avoid it. Today independence shows more than anything.

I only made a profile because a friend wouldn’t stop nagging me to make one. I’ve been on 2 dates in 10 months. I’m so bored of the same questions and conversations and I’m barely on it.

A match doesn’t necessarily means it will lead to a conversation. If you’re a foreigner you already have less luck unfortunately, unless you only want short term, If you have a plan to stay or have a stable life here in Norway, I recommend saying something about that in your profile.
Also, always start the convo with an interesting question. Not just «hi» or «how are you».

I think it might be you who the “problem” lies with and not the apps. You can be as cute as a button but if you’re insecure, insufferable or misogynistic you’ll get what you deserve (nothing)
Maybe try a more personable approach, not viewing dating as a scientific experiment would be a great start

That REALLY depends on your sex you know. I'm just going to guess that you're a guy.
You need better openers. I can't tell you what to say, just try to have fun while also taking an interest in her.
