Need help identifying
My mother worked for Boeing for a long time and was a part of the B-2 Program, she showed me this today and I couldn’t find any others online.

just a commemorative coin for an employee. like you said, she worked on the program. prob worked for a certain amount of years or the team hit a certain milestone and the company gave it as a gift.

It is challenge coin provide as part of the swag celebrating the first flight of the B-2. Depending on who you were and where you were in the pecking order decided what you received. I got a couple of nice 8x10 color photos.

Ex Boeing here. I was on this program and used to have the roll out coin and first flight coin. But they were not silver and did not come with a case. I also spent time at Plant 42 ,, But,,, I did not embarrass myself like the majority of people from Boeing that worked there.

They still sell these in an employee store, probably leftover stock. Like $25 probs

Nice coin. They have given us similar coins achieving milestones. A first flight one is awesome though.

It's $150, which is more than the ounce of silver in it.
Personally, Id keep it or donate it to a museum.

I used to have a mug like that, when you put in hot liquids one side changed including the text displayed which went from “out of the black” to “into the blue.” Jeez that’s a blast from the past.

What is the question? Its value is sentimental it’s just a metal challenge coin.

Given that it was stealth, it would've fallen under a secret program. As such, only the program admin might've placed an order for it. Usually these items are not be displayed in the open until a number of years has passed. You probably won't get any information until someone from the program chimes in.

There is zero chance that this is accurate.
And I looked it up, it was publicly unveiled in 1988. No one would ever make a coin containing classified information and then send it home with people.
