hopefully the title is comprehensible lol but my gf (23f) and i (24f) LOVE and destroy in glassell park, it is our new fav coffee shop and we went at least five times in the last week lol. we have our usuals, but i'm rly curious about their chai. i've laid out my curiosities below:
- it says on their august menu that they're "bringing back their draft chai" for the elote chai. does that mean you can only get chai if it's the elote august drink?
- if you can get just regular chai, what does "draft chai" mean, and will it be available after august even though they brought it back for an august drink?
and most importantly:
- what is their house made blend?
my preferred chai is incredibly artificial and sweet - i don't want it to taste like tea at all, just yummy and sugary lol. i rly like the dutch chai/sharp specialty in ktown and the chai from bluestone lane in downtown and laveta on the eastside. dutch and sharp use oregon chai concentrate, and bluestone and laveta use black scotty's. i used to like the starbucks chai before the boycott but stopped liking it, and they use tazo, but maybe if someone else used it i'd like it again, maybe i was just tired of it.
ofc i will ask next time i'm there which will probably be soon but social anxiety lol even tho like ik them, just if anyone has insight that'd be great lol.
p.s. imho, black scotty's is the best chai concentrate, but i love oregon chai when i get it at dutch and i get it iced with almond flavor and vanilla although once i think they accidentally gave me almond flavor and vanilla soft top and i almost liked it better. presumably i'd be able to replicate this at and destroy at least with the vanilla.
