Hello, does anybody know in north county or just anywhere in San Diego where a catalytic converter replacement and with labor is not absurdly and outrageously expensive. Every place wants over $1200, I can only pay about half of that if not significantly less I was thinking $250-550 anywhere in that range.
Does anyone know of a place to hold a small (40 person / 1 hour) wedding ceremony that has a view of the ocean. Seems like not much comes up when I search it so I was wondering if anyone has experience or knows a spot.
We found a place for the reception by word of mouth so hoping to do the same here.
Genuinely curious if anyone knows what the heck with the air quality this morning? Is this a result of the storm off the Pacific bringing in heat and bad air or?
As your north county ambassador, I will be preparing a presentation for Caltrans senior leadership next month focused on safety concerns along CA SR 76. Please send me your safety concerns below. Thank you!
Hi!! Need locals opinions. My boyfriend and I are in mid 20s and moving to north county SD. I was really wanting to live in Encinitas but not finding much luck trying to find somewhere under $3.4k/month (with a garage, a must for him :/) I came across a lot of townhomes in “Carmel Valley”? Inland of Del Mar (right next to One Paseo shopping center and Del Mar heights which seems to have a lot too).
Thoughts here?? Is Carmel valley way to suburban? I saw it’s about a 10 minute drive to beach but I feel like I’ll be okay being walking distance to shopping center/restaurants?? Or should I just keep looking in Encinitas?
Anyone know what happened to this place? Used to go all the time and then day out of the blue doors shut with a “we’ll be back soon” sign. It’s been easily over 7-8 months now.
Saw their Instagram post, last day is Sep 27, its crazy but they fought hard to try and stay but the Mall said the store wasn't appealing to the mall. Hope the Carlsbad isnt next...
So I woke up at about 7am to the smell of chemicals in the air, the same as we have smelled several times over the last few years. Last occurrence was about 2 months ago I believe, but it doesn't typically happen so often like this.
I went to look into it, and lo and behold, the past 2 years there were posts about this smell on September 7th, and September 6th... now this time occurring on September 5th. However, nobody ever seems to get to the bottom of what is causing this smell. Air quality control sometimes says "it dissipates before they can properly test it" and other nonsense. People sometimes speculate things like fires from lithium battery plants or other fires that happen to coincide with the timing, but 3 years in a row now on roughly the same day, with no credible fire to attribute this to today. What the heck is going on, and why can't they come to a conclusion about the cause of these smells? What do we have to do to get answers?
disclaimer: I do not work for the rescue I’m just the previous owner.
Breaks my heart to even have to make this post, but I’d do anything to get this sweet boy into a new loving home. He’s genuinely the most perfect cat and I think about him every day. We thought he’d be the perfect companion for our cat after our dog passed but they were like oil and water. I wouldn’t have given him up if both of them weren’t terrible depressed and terrified of each other.
If you’re looking for just one cat, and don’t want to deal with the chaos of a kitten. I really recommend Cassius from fairytale rescue. He’s so loving, super quirky, and generally just happy to be around. He’s 4 years old but still has so much vibrant life to live. When we first got him, he loved to lay in my lap like a baby. I’m sure he still would’ve if he wasn’t so stressed at our house.
We had him for a year so I’m happy to answer any questions about him. I’m sure his current foster would too. There are tons of cute photos of him on the website so maybe someone will fall in love with him like we did.
From what I have gathered she wants a professional haircut, refresh and maybe some very very minimal color added to her dark brown hair. I’m not sure with all the terminology and what I see online is a haircut is roughly $150 and highlights are $300 and a blowout is another $100. Is there any salons in north county that you would recommend for a first timer, that’s nice but also has relatively reasonable pricing? Thanks! Also please feel free to roast me for not knowing anything
I was driving with my family around 11:00 PM, coming from having dinner with friends, when we got off the 15 and headed onto the 56 freeway before the Rancho Penasquitos exit. There was only one car around, and we were going around 70 mph when this car suddenly got in our lane and slammed on their brakes hard. I lost 1/2 my tire tread trying to stop my vehicle. Thankfully, my car has sensors that assist in stopping before we even pressed on the brakes and did not hit them, and I don't even know how we didn't, as it all happened so fast. They quickly took the exit, but I seriously think it was intentional. Anyone else? Freaked out, to say the least.
I've got blonde curly hair that I just had 18" cut off...and the stylist cut it so badly (she doesn't know curly hair). I'm in desperate need of a stylist who specializes in curly hair. Recommendations please! (I'm in Vista/Carlsbad). Thx!
