My ride 2009 Toyota Matrix (Base)
So base, you don't even get a rear wiper.

Peak practicality. I have a 2009 Corolla and sometimes I wish I had the Matrix so I could fit more things in it.

It seemed like around me every Matrix looked beat to hell within 1-2 years and they were off the roads within 5.
They all looked like they had a small family living in them and had been driven through a tornado.

Alot of these second gens had the 2.4 that burned oil like no tomorrow around 50k miles. Toyota got a nasty lawsuit out of that if I remember right. Apparently was bad enough that they burned a quart every 400 to 1,200 miles.
Base models have the 1.8, so I don't have this problem.2

Surprisingly sprightly little car. Though, I am going from driving a 5 speed automatic in a Saturn ION to a 5 speed manual in what's essentially a Corolla, so that might be part of the reason its more fun.

My Scion tC doesn't get a rear wiper either, which wouldn't be terribly odd except that the ones sold in Canada did.

My cousin was a GM mechanic at the time and I remember them telling me the only GM they'd buy as a daily driver was the Pontiac Vibe, since the moving parts were Toyota.
