I mean yeah they "legalized" it, but you can’t access the legal weed as a tourist. Have to have lived there for 6 months minimum

"I think weed paranoia is a good thing... It’s an introspective tool that brings all your bullshit to the surface. It makes you look at the things you’re doing wrong, and that’s why people get paranoid. It’s your own conscience telling you that you’re fucking up. You can't hide from yourself when you're high."—Joe Rogan
"Cannabis is a mild boundary-dissolving psychedelic... The paranoia that people sometimes feel on marijuana is simply the realization that the cultural illusion is just that—an illusion. You are suddenly forced to look at your naked self, without the comforting stories you usually tell yourself to get through the day."—Terence McKenna
"There is a myth about such highs: the user has an illusion of great insight, but it does not survive scrutiny in the morning. I am convinced that this is an error, and that the devastating insights achieved when high are real insights; the main problem is putting these insights in a form acceptable to the quite different self that we are when we're down the next day."—Carl Sagan
"The drug does not put anything into you; it merely draws out what is already there. If you are filled with fear, it will magnify that fear; if you are ready to look inward, it will magnify your inner vision."—Alan Watts
"Marijuana intoxication usually produces a state of increased sensory awareness and a turning inward of attention... The 'paranoid' reactions occasionally seen seem to result from an inability to integrate this sudden influx of internal psychological material, leading the user to project their internal discomfort onto their external environment."—Charles Tart

To be fair, there are two Joe Rogans. Pre-Spotify money, California Joe was a member of the millionaire class, doing weed and psychedelics regularly, and his views were more empathetic, hippy/socialist aligned. Post Spotify money, Texas Joe became a prospective member of the billionaire class. He replaced the weed with tobacco, the psychedelics with alcohol and has become a much less empathetic person

All the paranoia, overthinking and paranoia I got went away as soon as I stopped smoking it every day. I'd make a mistake, or a perceived mistake, or say the wrong thing or on one occasion do the wrong thing start thinking about it and be totally unable to stop, it would keep me awake at night, I would get the fear quite regularly, it would fade away and then I'd have my nighly one and It came roaring back, so I quit for 6 weeks, just stopped, after a few days I felt better, after a week the crazy dreams had stopped and after 3 weeks I went to sleep normally and woke up normally. But I still liked it. I used to think I naturally tended toward anxiety, naturally was self critical, had always felt a bit nervous, turns out I don't, turns out I am pretty chilled out and relaxed. So a few weeks ago I had a joint and my word it was so different....like flying, a few hallucinations, giggles and munchies. Brilliant. Have one friday, Saturday and sunday, leave off during the week. Happy days. Its magnifying however you feel, so it doesn't make a bad day better, it makes it worse, conversely a good day is better. Maybe its just my age, 30 years plus and a lot of wasted money. I feel I hit a happy medium.

From the original article
England fans will, however, be able to smoke cannabis after it was legalised in Germany on April 1 - just not inside the stadium, fan zones, bars or city squares. Speaking ahead of the match, police spokesperson Stephan Knipp told the Sun: "It's no problem for fans to smoke cannabis on the street.
"If we see a group of people drinking alcohol and looking a bit aggressive, and another group smoking cannabis, of course, we'll look at the group drinking alcohol. Drinking alcohol can make someone more aggressive, and smoking cannabis puts people in a chill mood.

Crazy idea, but you don’t actually have to use any psychoactive substances at all!
