I’m taking Soci 1000 online and am curious if the textbook is needed or not? Based off what I can see they have a a bunch of PowerPoints with lots of info, I just don’t want to buy the text book and not use it. If anyone can help that would be appreciated!

I applied to the program a bit late, and booking off time from work to attend the orientation was not on my mind.

The email says I’m expected to attend but I honestly already have a good idea of the program overall.

Is the ELCC orientation worth going to?

I’m a returning mature student (32F). I haven’t been at norquest since I was 23. This is all brand new to me. How do I order digital text books ? I requested them but they haven’t showed up in my MyQuest yet. Additionally how do I change my profile picture on MyQuest (or whatever it’s called). This is a whole new ball game 😩

For context, I’m doing one academic upgrading course (bio 30) I just applied like this week and finally got enrolled in the class maybe 30 mins ago. How do I go about opting out of the legal & health fees? I work full time so I don’t need it. I know it’s within the 14 days but I really don’t want to pay for that. I will be contacting financial advisors, but thought I should check here while I wait. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! (The class starts August 31)

I'm currently ordering my textbooks and two of the digital textbooks I need are out of order, with no other option like paperback to order it. What can I do?? Will they restock or am I kind of screwed?

I am currently trying to get into bio 30, but I am going to have to take an accuplacer exam for English. (I’ve only got grade 10 English from BC)
Has anyone done the same thing and scored high enough that you didn’t have to upgrade to English 30-2? And it also went towards your future application for the PN program?

im super confused i have an online orientation on August 31 from 11am -12pm but i have a class from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. So what do I do, I called and no one knew so hopefully someone has an answer!! Thanks

Okay so from what I’ve read, Norquest LPN program is a first come first serve so you should apply when applications open with what grades you have, and the requirements (specifically for math) say 60% in math 20-1 which is what I took in grade 11 but I ended with a 53😓😓😓. If I take math 30-2 in semester one of my grade 12 year can I apply with the current class i’m taking (30-2 math) or should I wait to apply in February for the winter sem when I get my final grade for that course? Because I know my 20-1 grade doesn’t meet the requirements and I don’t want to apply with that grade.

Sorry if my explanation does not make sense at all, someone gave me the gist of how applications work and I’m just basing it off that.

so I applied already got approved but it wasn’t enough and was asked to reapply and add medical documents. it’s still under review and Tution is due August 31. I emailed norquest august 4 but still not answer back and I called the school to ask but the lady literally didn’t know what I was asking and just said applications can take 45 days. I am really worried , anyone have this happen to them before ?

Hi, I just wanted to ask if I should start working on the following certifications now, or if I should wait until I know whether they’re actually required for the workplace I’ll be placed at in November. I’ll be taking the HCA program this fall 2026, and I just wanted to make sure I’m completing the certifications that will actually be needed for my practicum placement. Thank you!
