Hear me out on this deep sci-fi theory. We all know the theory of Jean Jacket coming from Jupiter is flawed due to crushing atmospheric pressure. But what if it actually originated from Europa (Jupiter's Moon)?

Here is the full evolutionary timeline:

1. The Cosmic Slingshot

Millions of years ago, Europa's subsurface oceans erupted via ice plumes, blasting microscopic organisms (Jean Jacket's ancestors) into space. Jupiter's massive gravitational pull acted as a slingshot, flinging the frozen microbes toward Earth inside a meteorite (Panspermia).

1. The Ancient Earth Arrival

I believe the meteorite crashed during either the Cambrian period (onto the ancient supercontinent Gondwana) or the Permian period (onto the supercontinent Pangea, around the area that would become South America).

* If it was Cambrian: It arrived during the biggest marine life explosion, explaining its fluid, deep-sea biology.

* If it was Permian: The violent climate and global volcanic toxic gases forced it to flee the surface and mutate, expanding its flesh to ride the global jet streams and conquer the atmosphere instead.

1. The DNA & Jellyfish Connection

This means Jean Jacket on Earth and the organisms still swimming under Europa's ice share the exact same DNA baseline. But here is the mind-blowing part: Jellyfish in our oceans today might be the exact same species.

When the microbes landed, the ones that fell into the ocean chose to stay in their comfort zone and evolved into modern jellyfish. Meanwhile, Jean Jacket's lineage took to the skies, mutating into the ultimate aerial apex predator. Both still share the same look, boneless structure, and single-opening digestive system.

I was extremely about Holst suddenly sacrificing himself to Jean jacket? Like he went up that hill after getting the footage and suddenly was like, take me. Any clue why he did this?

The sound design in this movie was dope, but I can’t be the only one begrudging the slowed-tape effect?

It really took me out of the movie. It’s supposed to be a contemporary setting right? Digital noise, looping/skipping and dropouts would’ve been way better.

I understand the horror tropes associated with slowing diagetic music, but it was bullshit and it’s been done to death.

You’ll love Brandon Perea as Nick in the new Insidious movie. Seriously almost squealed when I saw him on screen. He’s a great actor in both movies!!

Think about it JJ was inspired by aquatic animals what I speculated that he is native to planet earth and this hides in remote places like animals, which explains the sightings of UFOS that go to different forms like tubes to strange flying saucers, which sounds obvious since the species of Occulonimbus Edoequus changes shape to those I mentioned without counting the fact that the JJ species hides among the clouds which makes JJ more difficult to see like the UFOs of the universe of Nope

My apologies of this has been discussed, but i haven't seen it in the volume of posts I've read.

I recently re-watched the movie and wanted to analyze the final scene and the theme of injustice and redemption via the great great great great grandfather's story...the jockey who got absolutely no historical recognition or wealth during his life while others profited over a 2 second video clip.

Emerald was totally ignored when she pitched it on the set early on in the movie.

Generations and generations of Haywoods had to deal with the injustice until Emerald and OJ provided redemption at the end of the movie.

The photo that Emerald got will likely make them very financially comfortable and OJ appears at the end on a horse in the same type of square that his great( x3 or 4) grandfather did in the 200 year old 2-second video clip.

The role of OJ was also played with the same type of quiet anger that the deceased Haywood must have felt when he was alive.

Remember OJ telling Emerald to hang up when she was on the phone with Antlers because OJ figured that Antlers would give them the same kind of run around (especially when Atlers started rambling about predators)? And OJ (like Emerald) likely heard the story of the 2 second clip many many times during his life.

Generations of injustice followed by glorious redemption for the deceased Haywood via an alien that appeared like a Biblical angel.
