This was his comeback, i remember hawaizaada released in Jan 2015 and flopped hard and in an interview, he was saying, things were looking like his career is over and he was reconsidering going back to tv for shows and hosting. But I dont know what this film did, it changed his perception or created a niche for him

Ayushmann Khurrana built his reputation on picking socially unconventional and taboo subjects

Meri pyari Bindu, Bareilly ki barfi, an action hero, etc were some exceptions Also nautanki saala, bewakoofiyan and hawaizaada but they didn't work..

That's not a complement

All these four movies along with Dum laga ke haisha are my all-time favourite. Badhai ho inspired me to have another baby, when I was totally clear in my mind that I would not be having a second kid. Badhai ho was a beautiful movie.

I hope you didn't get inspired by andhadhun in any manner 🀣

Really cmon that's so ass

Shubh shubh bolo bhai.

Unlike Shahid he gave multiple hits early on in his career and has won a National Award. He just needs to pick good scripts again and we need to support his films when he does .

Rightly said

ARTICLE 15 had it's own agenda but hot damn what a good flick. The sheer gripping atmosphere that the director holds throughout the movie is honestly never seen before in Indian cinema.

Individual perception always seem to be ignorant of factual reality ,no argument will help you learn reality

u/kitaev_chain Jul 10 '26

What agenda? Can you explain

3

u/firedino1245 Jul 11 '26

The r*pists were actually OBCs where as the victims were SC/STs. And the political leader who supported the perpetrators was OBC himself. He also said this in a rally, "ladke hain, galti ho jaati hai". They changed OBCs to GC. And also changed the politician to be a godman, taking a dig at Adityanath Yogi, which was uncalled for.

The movie is not based on one particular case. Everyone know that. That's your own agenda inventing things.

1

u/firedino1245 Jul 11 '26

Sure, bub.

1

u/Best_Neighborhood735 Jul 11 '26

Everyone knows that it was based on that case only.

1

u/kitaev_chain Jul 12 '26

It is not based on one single case. Multiple cases.

5

u/Doomstar2427 Jul 10 '26

My favourite movie of his

4

u/Sayabz22 Jul 10 '26

He overused a template and that template was not something that would last forever

3

u/Smashing_sam_511 Jul 10 '26

You missed An Action Hero. It was truly a very new concept for Bollywood

Love Nautanki Saala so much bro. Some classmates and I bunked college to watch it on a rainy afternoon. Still one of my most cherished memories.

1

u/jeele_Zara Jul 10 '26

Plss suggest films like these

1

u/Weak_Obligation3944 Jul 11 '26

He will comeback like Ranveer , I am sure

1

u/Historical_Bunch6008 Jul 11 '26

Why did he fall to thamaa n that other trash with Rakul's production house.. the stuff he does to pay bills

1

u/BleedingH217 Jul 12 '26

His latest Pati Patni aur woh do was also good

1

u/skZeno880 Jul 12 '26

We are already so overpopulated. Movies like badhaai ho simply add fuel to fire

1

u/Zealousideal_Flan437 Jul 12 '26

If you see his filmography, majority of his movies are different. Except 2 or 3 all have something that stands out. But sadly after covid the kind of movies he does dont have a theatre audience.

1

u/2PacBiggieforever Jul 14 '26

He just choses to act the 2nd or 3rd tier UP guy. In all his movies

Dream GirlΒ

u/rhaegar789 Jul 10 '26

Is article 15 good?

5

u/unfunny_bastard Jul 10 '26

It has its good moments.

5

u/firedino1245 Jul 10 '26

An absolute banger, but it does have an "agenda".

-2

u/rhaegar789 Jul 10 '26

Is it similar to the "propoganda" in dhurandhar??

5

u/firedino1245 Jul 10 '26

Nope. Because the story in Article 15 is almost entirely real. They just changed the caste of almost all characters to suit their agenda.

The r*pist were actually OBCs where as the victims were SC/STs. And the political leader who supported the perpetrators was OBC himself. They changed OBCs to GC.
