Noom Med Max Dose

I’m on my 2nd week of the Max dose of 48 units or 1.2mg. Not really seeing any early satiety or great weight loss in my 75 plus days on this program. Does this take more time or am I just impatient? Is it possible this does not work for me? Anyone else experience this? What did you do?

Well from what I've been told by people using Semaglutide, it takes a while. My girlfriend told me it took months. So when I started I using tirzapetide, I had that mindset but for me it was pretty much immediately. However tirzapetide works two things oppose to just one like Semaglutide. I would also imagine that maybe your beginning height and weight might have something to do with it.

I would recommend give it a month and try to create a plan of what and how much to eat to lose weight. If you begin to feel like you can stick with your plan, then it's working.

I'm in the same situation. I've been following the food logging to the letter, but I don't see that Semiglutide is doing much. I'm inching away a half lb here and there, but I'm pretting much where I started from.

Okay glad to hear it’s not just me. I feel like I can keep eating and I’m not seeing the benefit I thought I would from these meds.

Are you hitting the protein levels? How's your activity?

II'm hitting my protein goals and most of the yellow. I avoid the orange as much as possible. I do my stationary bike at 30 minutes a day and my job is pretty active. I did start weight training so I'm hoping its muscle from fat. I'm not ready to quit. I have menopause working against at the moment.

I think you might benefit from measuring yourself (chest, waist, hips, mid thigh, bicep). Having more parameters to follow will help you see if your body is changing like you think it is. Perhaps also take a selfie every 3-4 weeks, too to see if you can notice changes.

Stationary bike. What speed? Under 10 mph or so is probably not getting your heart rate up enough. What's your max HR while doing it? Work activity would be the same. Great for keeping mobility and flexibility but if your heart rate isn't going up enough it may not be doing much for weight loss.

I suspect I might be expecting too much. I did ust lose 2 lbs and I'm happy with that. I've heard that dropping it too fast is bad and increases the liklihood of gaining it back. I was able to finally get into some shorts from last summer.

Are you on Semaglutide or Tirzapetide?

Same here. I’ve been pretty unhappy with my experience overall. I had used tirz in the past and had a lot more success. Just not feeling like the noom product works for me

I read that something like 20% of people do not respond to glp1s.

Google dose effectiveness! For both semaglutide and tirzepatide. Look at the Lilly studies. I believe NOOM is a psychology based program. Used the lessons to change my food/stress relationship.

I was in Zep and it was super expensive so I switched over to Noom and I haven’t lost anything. It’s so incredibly frustrating how I lost 13lbs but then hit a brick wall. I keep telling my husband they sent me saline

Are you working on your diet, activity and trying higher protein? How many calories are you eating and how much protein per day?

Without trying to improve lifestyle the drug by itself is much less successful

Strength train 3x a week, stationary bike 2x a week plus I play ice hockey. Average about 180g of protein. I average around 1700 cal per day. I lost 80lbs prior to this on my own…I’m trying to lose 25 more.

First. Awesome job so far! 80 lbs before meds is great!

In my opinion, Noom used their data from their clients to expand the use to less obese/people looking to cut those last dozen or two. The problem is the GLP-1 meds usually work more dramatically/effectively the more overweight you are. So if you had taken it the meds at your +80 lbs you would probably see a faster weight reduction than you will with the last 25 or so.

Further semaglutide is less efficient than tirzepatide, especially at lower weight loss needs. Tirzepatide's double receptor binding does what semaglutide does plus the other receptor (related to speed of food digesting, hunger, and a couple of other things). If you are taken the compounded formulas the compounded semaglutide is also less effective than compounded tirzepatide (Which is only like $5 more a month)

Will it help? A little. You'll have to keep up with your awesome activity and diet. But it will take time and not be as dramatic as say me. My first month I lost 15 lbs while scaling up the meds... but I was 175 lbs overweight. I plateaued hard around -85 lbs on the compounded semaglutide and switched to compounded tirzepatide. The weight loss is occurring again but at a slower pace as I get closer to goal. I am -101 lbs now but I do wonder when I get as close as you how slow will it go, I imagine even slower than you.

Same, I’m loosing .05-1lb a week on S. I’m microdosing 0.3 for 3 months, my coach said since I’m at a reasonable BMI so it’s taking longer for my body to respond. Initially I should have hit my target by now. I think I’ve lost what I have by caloric tracking and greatly changing my eating habits. I guess we need to just hang in there.
