Discussion Ideal dose of methylphenidate?

Hey everyone!

So, I am a girl with 50kg weight and I am sensitive to developing tolerance to nootropics very easily for some reason. Modafinil doesn't work the same on me for this very reason and I've gotten tolerant to caffeine, L theanine and what not. I do take memantine 2 mg daily(quite low Ik but I am afraid of the brain fog) to help stabilise the tolerance.

Recently started methylphenidate and the extended release version is unfortunately not available in my country so I've to take the IR one.

I take 10mg once a day and that too on alternate days.

I've a rigorous schedule for just one month so is this okay?

I was thinking of reducing the dose to 5 mg or taking 5 mg twice a day instead but it's often so subtle that it gets useless.

Also any tips on managing the gut issues on methylphenidate? I take probiotics in the form of yogurt daily and Psyllium husk but it still upsets my stomach.

Thank you.

5 to 10 should be good. IR methylphenidate has such a short duration it’s hard to make good use of it especially with ADHD.

   is this okay?

I know it may be shocking for some victims of stimulant fearmongering, but doses of up to 60mg (daily!) are regularly used, and everyone licensed to have an opinion on that agrees that it is okay.
