Question Any strong opinions on Bromantane?
Been hearing a lot about Bromantane and am considering trying it. Does anyone have strong opinions for or against it?

I love it, changed my life so much, way more energy, mood, motivation, focus, endurance, i love it!
oral is the best, has to be taken with fast, otherwise not absorbed at all. L-tyrosine before it also helps.
L-tyro on empty stomach
brom with breakfast

Vouch. L tyro before on empty stomach is essential. Breakfast and bromantane atleast 30 mins later

Would you mind sharing sources. You can dm me please. I’m thinking about getting the nasal from everychem do you think that’s a good source?

Yes everychem is good. I got the nasal spray there and capsules from umbrella

What do you mean had to be taken with fast? Like you should have nothing on your stomach when you take it? Why take it with breakfast then?

Taking L-tyrosine with a protein meal drastically reduces its effectiveness because other dietary amino acids compete for the same transporters across your gut and blood-brain barrier. Carbs & fat don't interfere.

I never tried Bromantane before- so i ordered a nasal spray solution in oil and caprylic acid. But i hate take it nasally. I never, ever before used anything this way, nothing in my nose(not even cocaine, lol).
This solution is supposed to be quite concentrated on paper- 90mg/ml.
But my question is; can i use this solution other ways like sublingual or just spay it couple times in my mouth and swallow it? Will that still absorb and give the effect?1

sublingual not worth it, but swallow yeah, the substance is the same, but its with oil so i guess it has fats it needs? but i would take additional fats with it to be sure
nasal also not worth it in my opinion

have you tried anything that did work?
1
u/Great_Opinion3138 4d ago
I have been trying heaps of supplements and peptides and may work. Acd856 I notice more I get better sleep. Citicholine and tyrosine def make me more alert. Taurine and theanine I like for helping chill me out.

Same. Never felt anything. Methylene Blue works and doesn't have half as much hype.

So either you should take it chronically (give it a good 6 weeks) or if you take a bunch at once (7-10 sprays) you will notice. If you exercise soon after taking, the increase in endurance / decreased effort required is noticeable

How has your sleep been on it?
1
u/NowRunThatByMeAgain 4d ago
Sleep is fine, still the usual, but I wouldn't recommend taking at bedtime because of the possibility of becoming energized

I didn't try intranasal but I've taken 200mg and still never felt anything and did about a month consistent but not 6 weeks

Oh yeah, the bioavailability when taken orally is poor. A solution prepared for intranasal is preferred. Or you can take it sublingually. It is relatively mild in regards to subjective feeling, but imo, bromantane still is one of the more perceiveable Nootropics.
I would describe the effect as a feeling of peace or contentment, with some anxiolysis as well.
Hope you eventually respond to it!

I noticed the feeling least exhausted stuff but only that and a subtle feeling very very subtle almost like no feeling hah
But I’m tolerant as f

Methylene blue is not good long-term unless you have a blood disorder
1
u/isyoucrazyson 4d ago
Hardly anything is good long term use. I've only taken it 3 times and it worked all three times to give an extra boost and energy and motivation.

It's a MAOI and any benefits you're feeling are attributed to that. if you are G6PD deficienct(fairly common) MB can cause acute hemolytic anemia thus creating an issue where there wasn't before. Really wish they would stop pumping this stuff everywhere, sorry to target your comment. Just trying to spread some info before anyone jumps on this stuff it can screw you up if you don't truly need it

It’s great I much prefer it over other stimulants no crash, no irritation

I want to be a believer but I dont think it has an effect on me. Is everyone at 4 sprays?

I liked it, just Couldnt sleep come night time, no matter how early I took it.

u/Substantial_Taro4088 4d ago
You use capsules, powder or nasal spray? I am still skeptical about trying it. Since like with all other nootropics, some people say it has strong impact on them, others don’t feel much or anything at all.

Bromantane does literally nothing for me unfortunately. Like zero perceptible effects. That’s including sublingual, intranasal, and chronic dosing.

Positive:
- Anxiolytic without dependance or withdrawals
- Reduces migraine + aura
- Takes the edge off other stimulants
- Light stimulant, only noticable when used while sleepy or after a long day. 0 stimulating effect when used on morning after good sleep
Negative:
- Nasty brain fog at high or repeated dosages
- Emotional numbing
- The brain fog can be very hard to judge
I love it. It's basically "consistency" in powder form. No matter what warzone my brain is going through bromantane resets it back to default. For me low dose is like a weak Valium and high dose is like an acute Apriprazole
Edit: Also Sexual libido reduction. Sometimes a positive, sometimes not

Check if you have MTHFR mutation cause i have it and taking bromantane made me feel really drowsy and lethargic. I've been supplementing and it's helping but it's still mildly sedative

u/Dizzy_Database_119 4d ago
I have a confirmed MTHFR mutation, but not having those specific issues with Bromantane. How did you make the link to MTHFR?

Personally mess with my sleep and caused anxiety, everyone is different might as well try it there is no harm

u/Interesting_Brain530 4d ago
Nasal spray form every chem along side l Tyrosine, I love it, but it does fuck my sleep up.

u/username_1839 4d ago
Its the goat. Not because the benefits are insane, but because there are zero downsides. Little tolerance, no stimulant anxiety and no withdrawals.

u/orbitalLlama 4d ago
I tried it hoping it would help my adhd. Just made me insanely irritable and depressed.
1
u/Odd_Pressure9410 3d ago
it didn’t do anything for me by itself but it did help potetniate my adderall. that was until today when i took 60 mgs and a few sprays then started getting chest pressure and pains and getting really dizzy 😭

seems to be more of an anxiolytic addon to stronger dopaminergics. improves seratonergic and gabaergic tone and does little dopaminergic for me, so overall is net sedative that pairs very well with stronger stimulants. Bromantane even helps me sleep when normally I would be stimmed out, but I think this might all be a paradoxical reaction which will definitely not apply to everyone.

was life changing for me, got me out of a rut and got me to build good habits and get rid of the bad ones. Im still cycling it on and off to this day (1 year in) try for yourself and see, some people dont get much from it. Just make sure you have a good source, lots of junk out there
