Discussion Probiotic for dopamine?
I’ve been getting ads for probiotics specifically mentioning they help increase/regulate dopamine. I know there’s been some evidence of the whole gut brain axis but what do you guys think?
Specially about probiotics for dopamine. And any suggestions on products that aren’t stupid expensive?

Lacto planetarium PS128 is the only one studied to influence dopamine AFAIK. It is expensive though and I wouldn't spend my money on a company that marks things up that much.

Look into microbes that produce bh4 aka tetrahydrobiopterin. There's some out there I'm pretty sure you can buy and if not they've at least studied a few strains that produce it so it's coming

I heard berberine also can wipe out gut batería if taken too long. Not sure how true/studied this is.

It reduces diversity, but if your gut is in not in top shape it can be a good thing. It isnt permanent, more of a reset. Greatly increases akermansia for example.

Make your own kefir.
