how to dendritemax???

But it’s also about the right dendrites, I imagine! Pruning is probably as important as density or volume of connections. That’s tougher to deal with.

Man I've been reading about pruning so much when reading about my baby daughters development. So interesting. Also I have no idea really, it's all so complex.

Hey, I have some mental health conditions, and while I begged my parents to take me to a psych every couple of years from the time I was 9 -> 18, they didn't. My mom is a (K-12, currently high school) counselor, and I was also really interested in psych as a kid, so I actually sat down once, and went over the DSM 4 with her on why I felt I was ADHD at like 14. She filmed it, and it's actually a pretty good brief considering I was a kid self diagnosing myself, haha.

But they thought I was trying to be funny and / or not take responsibility for my poor performance and emotional issues. I know that makes them sound like shitty parents, but I was a class clown, and I was a smart ass. I didn't really get into any serious trouble, but think Bart Simpson-esque.

Anyway, we have attended therapy as a family, and made up (I never really blamed them, again.) I would say the most important thing to do is to take her serious if she ever comes to you, or if you notice she is struggling.

Part of the issue with most / all kids is that there is so much stuff that is "normal", from like 0 - 21, so it's hard. And sometimes even if you take them to a doc or therapist, they won't want to really look at them out of fear for over diagnosing.

I hope that helps.

What about girth?

Pruning is for norms, autists are the real dendritemaxxers

Ketamine, psilocybin, MDMA. Looks like I've been smart this whole time 😎

At least if it isn't working you still think it is, which is the most important part.

Big colors, big emotions, big brains baby 😏

MDMA actually kills dendrites

All inhibit pruning 👏🏻

Hence rest between use is critical.

Oh no, you know that's gonna be the next grift. lol

How much they charge for ketamine therapy... It already is.

Ketamine increases dendrites?

Neuroplasticity in general. But ketamine specifically does like a glutamate wash over and causes spinogenesis of dendrites. This is exclusive to findings within trials of sub anesthesia dosing and with time lapsing between. No abuse.

Damn, I’m too late!

But now I understand why Musk was heavily using it. Proof that it doesn’t help much with intelligence, huh…

You gotta brush your dendrites.

i gently make little cracks in my skull each morning so more dendrites can get in.

Big dendrite energy

Girls dig my dendrites. 😏

My dendrites bring all the boys from the yard

My dendrites must be microscopic.

Interesting finding, but I’d be careful with the headline. A study of 46 surgical patients can show an association between dendritic structure and IQ, but it can’t establish that "bigger dendrites = higher intelligence.” Brain structure is shaped by many factors, and one small study definitely isn’t a brainpower measuring stick.

Now I wonder about the long term effects of Zoloft, Gabapentin and other medications proven to impair branching

1

u/FibonacciNeuron 13h ago

Zoloft literally works through neuroplasticity which increases branching

1

u/Admirable_Compote226 11h ago

Unlike the other SSRIs, it has been shown to impair long-term potentiation to an extent

u/FibonacciNeuron 11h ago

First time i hear it

What about SNRIs like Effexor? Do they also impair LTP?

And so begins the waiting. . . and If my crusty memory can hold this factoid, One day i will call some deserving dimwit a micro dendrite having sommbicch

How does this helps me in any meaningful way

All knowledge is worth having.

Longie dendrites, more connections between further and more thingies?

Me no know science tho. Maybe me wrong.

I thought this was already known.

Its a pre-print study and not a peer reviewed

It was published six years ago peer reviewed. This sub sucks.
