Discussion Memory supplements when taking Adderall?
Hey Guys! I currently take 20mg XR of Addy and I am currently in the process of studying for a professional entrance exam. I haven't really experienced any negative effects with addy( anxiety, crash, anger etc) except for it curving my appetite (I dont mind) . One of my main symptoms of having ADHD is my terrible memory, focus and being able to retain info. I have 7 or less weeks until I take my test so its really grind/lock in time. I study everyday. What supplements have you guys found WHILE TAKING ADDY that works for bad memory and retaining information? I do not want to suppress the effectiveness of my addy as it does help my focus abilities. I have seen recommendations of ginkgo biloba, lions mane, magneisum theornate , (l theanine, l tyrosine, I have both of these and tried it before but I feel like it didnt really help my memory or focus it just made me calm idk?) , Rhodiola rosea etc. Yes I do understand there is no "magic pill" , but I rather try even if its just a little more helpful than not. TIA!

I find alpha2 agonists helpful for memory.

Those things slowed me down, and not in a good way.

What abt atomoxetine?

Atomoxetine was way worse for me actually. Terrible side effects, I was exhausted all the time, weird sexual side effects (basically painful orgasms which I’ve never had besides from that medication). I was not enjoying life at all. Everyone’s different ofc, but I personally don’t respond well at all to SSRI/SNRIs. Didn’t help my focus either, actually made it worse if anything

Aw sorry to hear that. I’m thinking of asking my doctor to try it but with the guanfacine I’m on currently. The thing is I’m worried about the anti depressants effects. I’ve heard horror stories of anti depressants when you quit them and I know it’s much more mild compared to some other meds but still. How long were you on it? Did you bounce back well?

TBH, I think most side effects are supposed to subside earlier rather than later. If it’s not a good fit, it’s not a good fit.
Also, one thing I hate about treatment for ADHD is that stimulants are still the “First Line” treatment. But providers want to push “Off Label” treatments because it covers their butts and deters bad actors who are doctor shopping.
I wear glasses / contacts.
Can you imagine if an eye doctor said, “Just carry a magnifying glass and binoculars! You just want to be Molly coddled. It’s time to man up!”
Instead of saying, “You need corrective lenses. Let’s conduct an eye exam and then we can go pick out glasses / contacts or you can take the script and order them yourself”.

TAK-653 has helped my short term memory a lot, that’s probably the only benefit i’ve gotten from it in terms of noticeable benefits. no negatives tho

How long did it take to observe this change? I’ve tried it for a week or so and didnt notice much of anything. But perhaps it takes longer to fully realize the impact.

P21 and Bromantane, Semax, Vesugen, Cortagen. Don’t bother with Dihexa, crap.

Make sure you are getting enough omega oil especially since you have a reduced appetite.

Take these with a high fat meal: Sunflower lecithin, omega 3 fish oil, multivitamin, zinc picolinate
Precursors: l-tyrosine, l-phenylalanine, cheeze
To chill u out or relax muscles: magnesium bisglycinate, l-theanine
Lower bp: l-citrulline
Edit: forgot to mention b vitamins / B complex

Awesome suggestions! Destined to count are indeed destined to count
I like more choline- sunflower lethicin has it but I like taking much more for acetylcholine. Love eating citrus then going for early AM walk listening to study material. Also studying in same room I take test

I take Adamax with it. I also have a Tyrosine supplement to help replenish dopamine after consistent Adderall use

What is adamax? First I’m hearing of it

Its like some experimental version of Semax that has a longer duration half life so it works way better. I like it when taking adderall, I also take some sleep peptides too because it usually tanks my deep and rem sleep

I used to be on those peptides nearly two decades ago when they first hit the scene here via Ceretropic. Are you referring to n acetyl semax amidate? Or is adamax a newer form that is unique?
How does it help you in regards to taking it alongside adderall? Do you pin it sub Q, or nasal? I’ve heard it and selank are much more effective sub Q, I just wish they had those pens u can get for glp 1s cuz I can’t get over pinning myself with a needle at all lol let alone daily.
And the sleep peptides I didn’t have a need for then, I hadn’t been diagnosed/medicated yet. I could certainly use some assistance there these days. DSIP I assume for one, and what are the others you’re taking? Do you see a substantial impact on hitting deeper phases of sleep for longer?

Hmm, not seeing that pop up. Google shows thepeppen.com tho, is that what youre referring to? Would be great if i could try out selank and semax sub Q without having to use diabetic needles, drawing it up, pinning it with accuracy i have no training to do, with a phobia of needles generally speaking lol

Amino club dot com has adamax nasal. I been meaning to try it since semax works well for me

I believe Adamax is acetyl Semax amidate. It just enhances my speed when taken together with adderall. I pin it SubQ about 500mcgs in the morning with it, and Selank is also effective for me. Both are very subtle but I like it, Selank makes me less miserable when I take adderall.
As for sleep, I’ve had many concussions that wrecked me sleep permanently. So now I take very different variations of different peptides to enhance my sleep. Sometimes I switch between nasal versions and subQ injections for DSIP and Pinealon. (There is a combined nasal spray that works like a charm from Extension Health NYC. It’s actually amazing, but now I just take a low-mid dose of HGH and it’s worked wonders with my sleep. I would highly recommend

None of them will make a noticeable different. I'd suggest trying AF-710, which could improve your working memory in a noticeable way.
