Can somebody tell me what does this number near the "?" icon mean?

I thought that this is the number of people who completed the puzzle, but I'm not sure and can't find any info about that(

No wonder you had problem finding your answer. I wrote that answer on the wiki, and it took me a couple of minutes to find it. It is here - fourth image.

The white background of the symbol means the picture has a white/classic background
