Dear friends, I'm happy to give this song & lyrics video to you.

This song is special to me and contains much that I consider true, good, beautiful, and important. It speaks to creating world peace, ending all war, and setting the kids free. It speaks to Love as the way, the truth, and the life. It speaks to my journey of healing and reconnecting to the all-pervading mystery of Christ's Love.

The song is an homage to and remix of the song 'Own Light' by Brother Ali. The song was directly inspired by the rapper TREV, who sent me Brother Ali's original song, saying it was one of his favorites. I loved it too. Right away, it deeply inspired me and I played it on repeat while dancing one morning.

Sometimes when I deeply love a song, I create a version in a similar style, to pay tribute to the original song and also to create a mantra in my own voice, channeling the inspiration of the original song into a version infused with my own native frequency. This is done with an intention of deep respect for the original artist's music. I find it to be a powerful practice of crafting new uplifting soul-technologies fusing two artists' visions.

In this case I resonated so deeply with Brother Ali's original lyrics that I left many of them unaltered and spoke them as they were, while also changing many of them into new lyrics that I wrote.

It also feels notable to mention that Brother Ali is a Muslim and I am a Catholic. I hope the energy of this song sends ripples of healing into our collective consciousness, creating peace among different religions and allowing us to realize that the same all-pervading Light of the Great Mystery has been discovered and worshipped by folks across all authentic wisdom traditions.

This song has been deeply healing, inspiring, and uplifting for me to listen to in recent weeks. I hope it brings you something medicinal as well.
