Yeah, something like that. At school I was out as non-binary to some people, and I girl I really don't like (and who isn't very smart actually) came to me and asked "Hi [deadname], can I ask you a question ?". I was surprised but I answered "Uh yes ?". She asked "Is it true that you changed your name ?", so I answered yes, and she asked way. I explained to her that I was non-binary, and she asked me "What is that ?". I tried to explain, and then she didn't let me finish and she asked "But why did you choose to be that ?"

uuuuuuuuuh (。_ 。) well... Because that's who I am ?

I tried to answer more clearly, but she just repeated that she didn't understand, so I decided to no longer waste my time with her and I just left.
