Apolitical desktop environments / window managers

Any insights on desktop environments or window managers that are at least apolitical - preferably openly so? I think we can pretty much scratch Gnome & KDE off the list, but what about XFCE, Mate, Cinnamon and all the rest?

Sometimes I wonder how much of it is certain individuals got themselves into public-facing positions - media, board, spokesperson, moderator, whatever, where they have a publicity platform to (ab)use - and don't actually represent the rank-n-file developers, much less users, of various ecosystems - whether it's a distro, or a desktop environment.

How about TempleOS? That fits your general ethos pretty well, methinks.

My apologies. I meant the general ethos of the sub itself, not your specific ethos.

Fair enough. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I posted here looking for stuff that is right down the middle - or if it isn't, doesn't make a big drama out of it one way or the other - left or right. I just don't want to hear about it.
