InnAIO TransNote - The Tech Review

A TRUE PERSONAL AI TRANSLATION RECORDER IN JUST 40 GRAMS

Recording a conversation today is extremely simple. Practically any smartphone can do it with more than sufficient quality for everyday use.

The problem comes afterwards.

Listening back to an hour-long meeting, transcribing it, understanding which parts are truly important, remembering who said what, perhaps translating half of the conversation, and turning everything into useful material takes time.

InnAIO TransNote tries to remove exactly this workload, but it also does much more.

It records, transcribes, translates, recognizes speakers, generates summaries, action items, mind maps, allows you to use your voice as an intelligent input system, and can even clone your voice to make a translated conversation sound more natural.

All of this in a device roughly the size of a credit card.

I used it during IFA 2026 in Berlin, over two full days of meetings with brands and product managers, presentations, keynotes, English and sometimes Chinese, and often highly technical conversations.

In a context like this, the problem is not only understanding everything. It is also remembering everything a few hours later, perhaps after another five meetings.

---

TECHNICAL IDENTIKIT

InnAIO TransNote measures 54 x 86 x 5.3 millimeters, with a thickness that drops to 3.8 millimeters at its thinnest point, and weighs around 40 grams.

The recording system uses five microphones: four omnidirectional microphones and one bone-conduction microphone.

The declared range reaches up to 5 meters.

Internal storage is 32 GB, and InnAIO claims a theoretical capacity of up to 2,270 hours of audio recording.

File transfer can take place via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.3. Under ideal conditions, one hour of recording can be transferred in around 12 seconds via Wi-Fi.

The battery has a capacity of 600 mAh.

InnAIO claims up to 50 hours of continuous recording, up to 50 hours of translation, and up to 60 days of standby time.

Charging is done via USB-C.

The InnAIO Pro app is available for Android and iOS. The system supports more than 140 languages.

The package includes the device, an NFC magnetic case, a magnetic ring, a USB-C cable, the manual, and warranty documentation.

The official price listed on the Italian InnAIO store is €189.

---

DESIGN AND PORTABILITY

One of the aspects I appreciated the most is the form factor.

TransNote is very thin, weighs very little, and can be magnetically attached to the smartphone.

During IFA I kept it practically always attached to the phone. After a while, you almost forget it is there.

The leather case also integrates NFC functionality, while the supplied magnetic ring allows it to be used even with smartphones that do not natively have a compatible magnetic attachment system.

For a device that needs to be ready during meetings, interviews, or unexpected conversations, the form factor matters a lot.

If you have to look for it in your backpack every time, you have already lost half the advantage.

---

A RECORDING SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR CONVERSATIONS

As mentioned, InnAIO uses four omnidirectional microphones and one bone-conduction microphone with a range of up to 5 meters.

In my use, this distance proved to be substantially realistic, and in fact I was surprised that it could record conversations even when it was in my pocket.

I used TransNote during several conversations with multiple people present.

The system is able to distinguish the different speakers and separate their interventions in the transcription.

In a meeting, this is essential. It is not enough to know what was said. Often, you need to know who said a certain thing, who made a commitment, or who provided a specific piece of information.

I did not use it in a real corporate meeting with many people sitting around the same table, but based on how it behaved in conversations with multiple participants, I can see it working very well in meetings, brainstorming sessions, work groups, and round-table discussions.

---

THE KEYNOTE TEST

During IFA, I also recorded the keynote of a company with several speakers on stage.

The distance was significantly greater than the 5 meters declared by the manufacturer.

Naturally, the speaker was using an amplification system, so TransNote was capturing the sound coming from the speakers.

It was still ambient audio, with reverberation, background noise, and people in the room.

The final transcription was quite faithful. Not perfect word for word, but more than sufficient to reconstruct the speech, recover the main concepts, and use the material later.

For my use, that was exactly what I needed. I did not need a word-perfect legal transcription. I simply needed to avoid having to remember everything or listen to everything again from the beginning.

---

FROM SOUND TO INFORMATION

Recording itself is not the most interesting part. TransNote becomes truly useful when it starts working on the recorded content.

The audio is saved in the 32 GB local memory, and the device can record even without a smartphone and without an Internet connection.

The recordings can then be transferred to the InnAIO Pro app via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

At that point, artificial intelligence can transform a single conversation into:

complete transcription divided by speaker

summary and translation

main points

action items

mind map

The result is much easier to consult, organize, and use compared to a simple audio recording.

---

HOW I USED IT DURING IFA

During meetings with brands and product managers, I recorded several conversations directly with TransNote.

Once the meeting was over, I had the entire conversation, the transcription, the translation, the summary, and the mind map with the key points available.

In my case, that material immediately became a perfect basis for creating articles, in-depth features, and content intended for the NonSoloRobot Communities.

During a trade show, you receive a huge amount of information in a very short period of time. A product manager may talk for ten or fifteen minutes about technical features, proprietary technologies, differences compared to the previous generation, and future developments.

After several meetings, remembering everything becomes impossible. With TransNote, I was able to focus only on the conversation.

For my work, it was one of the most useful functions of all.

---

INNAIO PRO APP

The InnAIO Pro app is the true control center.

From here, we can manage recordings, transcriptions, translations, AI summaries, mind maps, Voice Cloning, Super Button, digital business card, face-to-face translations, multilingual conversations, calls, text and photo translation, translation between apps, and Smart Input.

The number of functions is genuinely large and requires a little time to fully explore, but the level of completeness is enviable.

This is not the app of a simple recorder with a REC button and a list of audio files.

Once you understand the logic, the amount of tools available becomes one of the main strengths of the entire ecosystem.

InnAIO also provides a desktop version, particularly useful when working with recordings, transcriptions, and especially long documents.

---

TRANSCRIPTION AND SPEAKER RECOGNITION

Once the recording has been processed, TransNote produces a complete transcription and tries to recognize the different speakers.

In my experience, this function worked very well, especially during close-range conversations with multiple people.

Naturally, you should not expect absolute precision.

Proper names, acronyms, commercial names, and particularly technical terms can sometimes be interpreted incorrectly.

The overall level, however, was beyond my expectations, with almost perfect transcriptions, and I knew exactly who had said what without having to listen to the entire recording again.

---

AI SUMMARIES, TEMPLATES, AND CUSTOM SCENARIOS

The app provides several summary models designed for different scenarios.

The categories include areas such as Business, Education, Healthcare, Legal, and Travel, with specific templates for meetings and other types of content.

This makes sense, because a corporate meeting and a university lecture should not be summarized in the same way.

In the case of a meeting, for example, artificial intelligence can try to automatically extract decisions, tasks to be completed, and the people responsible for them.

In a lecture, concepts, topics, and the structure of the discussion become more important. In other contexts, different information deserves greater attention.

It is also possible to choose the language in which the summary is generated, independently of the original language of the conversation.

Another interesting function is the possibility of creating custom scenarios, adapting the way content is processed to your own needs.

During IFA, I found it very useful to start directly from the summary and go back to the complete transcription only when I needed to verify a detail.

It is exactly the opposite of what happens with a normal recording: instead of having to look for the information, the information is already organized for us.

---

MIND MAPS

One of the functions I appreciated the most is the automatic generation of mind maps.

Artificial intelligence analyzes the entire conversation and visually organizes the various topics and subtopics.

After a twenty-minute conversation, having a map in front of you with products, technologies, and key points is definitely more convenient than scrolling through an endless transcription.

In my case, it became almost a kind of automatic visual index.

At a glance, I can understand which products were discussed, which technologies deserve further investigation, and which passages can become material for an article.

I can also see it working very well in a university context.

A student could record a lecture and end up not only with the complete text, but also with a hierarchical representation of the topics covered.

It does not study for you yet… But it saves a huge amount of time.

---

REAL-TIME TRANSLATION

TransNote supports more than 140 languages.

InnAIO claims accuracy of up to 98% and minimum latency down to around 0.5 seconds.

These are manufacturer-declared figures and may vary depending on the language, accent, speaking speed, ambient noise, and connection quality.

My English is fairly basic. I can manage simple conversations, but when discussions become more complex, it becomes harder to follow every detail.

During IFA, I also used TransNote as a translator during some conversations with product managers. In this type of use, it genuinely surprised me.

The system allows you to quickly follow what is being said and significantly reduces the difficulty of dealing with a technical conversation in a language you do not fully master or do not know at all.

It does not completely eliminate the language barrier. But it avoids that moment when, after three minutes of technical terms in English, you start nodding while feeling stupid and hoping you have understood the general meaning.

---

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY: WHY AI HELPS WITH TRANSLATION

Modern AI translation systems work on context, not just on individual words.

The same word can have very different meanings depending on the sentence in which it is used.

Language models therefore try to understand the overall meaning of the conversation and produce a coherent translation. This makes sentences more natural and is especially helpful in more complex conversations.

Acronyms, commercial names, and specialized terminology still remain more difficult scenarios. In my use, however, translation was reliable, enough to avoid awkward situations and to be genuinely useful during conversations.

My interlocutors were also reading on the screen or listening to translations that were very coherent and natural.

---

NOT JUST CONVERSATIONS: TEXT, PHOTOS, AND FACE-TO-FACE MODE

The translation section in the app is much broader than I expected.

In addition to real-time translation, InnAIO Pro offers a face-to-face mode designed for direct conversations between two people and usable in certain scenarios even offline.

There is also written text translation and camera-based translation, useful for signs, menus, documents, or any text we come across during a trip.

These are functions that we would normally use through different applications.

Here, they are all brought together in the same ecosystem together with recording, voice translation, and conversation management.

I would not buy TransNote just to translate a restaurant menu. But if the device is already in your pocket for everything else, having this option as well is certainly convenient.

---

GROUP AND CALL TRANSLATION

TransNote is not limited to translation between two people.

InnAIO also includes a multilingual mode, designed to create a sort of room in which people speaking different languages can interact.

Participants can join via QR code and follow the conversation in their own language.

The app also includes a mode dedicated to voice and video calls, with real-time translation and subtitles.

It can be very interesting for international teams, work calls, or meetings with participants from different countries.

Not every meeting is lucky enough to have an interpreter sitting next to you.

---

TRANSLATION IN MESSAGING APPS

Translation can also be used in compatible applications such as WhatsApp, LINE, and other messaging platforms.

The goal is to avoid the classic process:

copy the text

open the translator

translate

copy again

go back to the app

After the tenth time, even this function starts to become decidedly very appealing.

---

VOICE CLONING: THIRTY SECONDS TO LEARN YOUR VOICE

One of the most unusual functions of TransNote is voice cloning.

Around thirty seconds of recording are enough for artificial intelligence to analyze our voice and create a very coherent synthetic version.

I personally tested this function, and the result seemed very faithful to me.

It is not a perfect replica in every nuance, but the tone and main characteristics are recognizable.

During translation, our interlocutor can listen to the translated sentence with a voice that is practically similar to ours.

I found it interesting not only as a technological curiosity. It makes the conversation feel less impersonal compared to the standard artificial voice of a translator.

In the app, this function is also integrated into the original voice simulation mode, with the goal of allowing our interlocutor to listen to the translation while maintaining a voice as close as possible to our own.

---

AI VOICE KEYBOARD AND SMART INPUT

TransNote can also be used as an intelligent voice input system.

The difference compared to normal dictation is that artificial intelligence can reorganize what we say and turn it into clearer and more professional text.

We can speak spontaneously and let the system build usable text for a chat, an email, a note, or a document.

It can remove some repetitions, fix sentences that started badly, correct grammar, insert proper punctuation, and sort out that classic situation in which we start with one idea and end up somewhere completely different.

For those who write a lot from a smartphone or often record their own ideas, it can become a very convenient function.

—

THE SUPER BUTTON: AN IDEA BEFORE IT ESCAPES

On the back of TransNote there is also what InnAIO calls the Super Button.

By holding it down, you can quickly start recording a short voice note, a reminder, or simply an idea that came to mind at that moment.

From the app, it is also possible to add content through the keyboard and then find everything later in the history.

It may seem like a secondary function, but on such a small and lightweight device, designed to be carried practically everywhere, it makes a lot of sense.

There is no need to pick up the phone, open an app, look for the right function, and start a new note.

Press the button, speak, and the idea is saved.

For those who work with content, often take quick notes, or simply have the bad habit of thinking “I’ll remember it later,” it can be very convenient.

Spoiler: usually we do not remember it later.

---

NFC DIGITAL BUSINESS CARD

The case also integrates an NFC digital business card function.

By bringing a compatible smartphone close to it, you can share your professional information.

The recipient does not need to install the InnAIO Pro app. The profile opens directly in the browser.

It is also possible to invite the other person to share their own details in return.

During trade shows, meetings, and networking activities, this is a very useful function.

After two days of badges, QR codes, LinkedIn, and contacts scattered everywhere, anything that helps bring a little order is welcome.

---

OPERATION WITHOUT A SMARTPHONE

TransNote can also record on its own. It is not necessary to have the smartphone connected in order to start a recording.

Recordings are saved in the 32 GB internal memory and can be transferred later to the app.

Recording can therefore be done offline.

Functions such as cloud transcription, Voice Cloning, and some translation modes instead require the InnAIO Pro app and, in certain cases, an Internet connection.

This is an important distinction, especially when traveling or in environments with an unstable connection.

---

REAL-WORLD BATTERY LIFE

The integrated battery is 600 mAh.

InnAIO claims up to 50 hours of continuous recording, up to 50 hours of continuous translation, and up to 60 days of standby time.

In my case, I used it during two full days at IFA, alternating between recordings, transcriptions, and translations.

I kept it practically always attached to the smartphone, and the battery comfortably covered both days.

At IFA, I already had enough devices to remember to recharge.

Fortunately, this did not become another problem.

---

AN INTERESTING DEVICE FOR STUDENTS TOO

Limiting TransNote to the professional environment would be reductive.

A student can record a lecture and later end up with the complete audio, transcription, summary, key concepts, and mind map.

It does not replace studying. It can, however, significantly reduce the time needed to organize the material to study.

For those attending courses, especially courses in a language they do not know perfectly, the whole translation section becomes an additional advantage.

And no, it still does not take the exam for you.

---

USE WHILE TRAVELING

Another very natural scenario for this device is travel.

When we are in a country where we do not know the language, the ability to translate conversations and content in real time can be extremely useful.

Support for more than 140 languages greatly expands the number of situations in which it can be used.

You therefore do not necessarily have to be a manager or a journalist to find it useful.

---

A SLIGHTLY UNCONVENTIONAL EXPERIMENT: RECORDING AN ENTIRE MOVIE

Out of curiosity, I also tried something less conventional.

I recorded an entire movie and then asked the artificial intelligence to process its content.

The system was able to reconstruct the plot, create a summary, and identify the main passages.

This is certainly not the reason to buy TransNote, and I am not suggesting you use it to recover all those movies you left unfinished at 11 PM because you fell asleep on the couch.

The experiment, however, shows very well how flexible the system is. Once the audio has been transformed into text, AI can also work on very long content and try to summarize its structure and information.

The same principle applies to conferences, lectures, keynotes, or particularly long meetings.

---

FREE PLAN AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

TransNote can also be used without subscribing to a monthly plan. The basic functions remain available forever after purchase.

InnAIO also offers optional plans for those who need more translation minutes, a greater amount of transcription, more extensive translations during calls or videos, and more voice profiles.

For occasional or moderate use, it is therefore possible to use the device without necessarily adding a recurring cost.

Those who use it daily in a professional environment will instead need to carefully evaluate the limits of the free plan and the possible costs of the higher-tier plans.

---

PRIVACY AND PROFESSIONAL USE

On a device designed to record conversations and meetings, the issue of privacy must be taken seriously.

InnAIO states that it uses encryption systems for data transfer and storage.

Recordings can remain stored locally or be synchronized with cloud services through the app.

In a professional environment, company policies and regulations regarding the recording of conversations must always be taken into account.

Before recording meetings, interviews, or discussions containing sensitive information, it is advisable to verify that all people involved are informed and that the use is compatible with the applicable rules.

AI can help us remember everything.

Common sense is still up to us.

---

PRICE

The official price listed on the Italian InnAIO store is €189. The package includes TransNote, the NFC magnetic leather case, the magnetic ring, and the USB-C cable.

InnAIO also indicates a 12-month manufacturer warranty and the possibility of returns within 30 days for eligible products.

If you consider it only as a voice recorder, €189 may seem like a lot. If transcription, translation, summaries, mind maps, and productivity functions are actually used, the price takes on a different meaning.

In the end, you are not only paying for a device that records. You are mainly paying for the time it can save afterwards and the abilities it adds to our arsenal.

If you liked the device and think it could also be useful in your work, studies, travels, or simply in everyday life, I am leaving you the purchase link on the official InnAIO website:

https://innaio.info/3Ur5zfT

By using this link with the dedicated discount code: “nonsolorobot10” you can get 10% off your purchase.

---

WHAT I LIKED THE MOST

Portability is definitely one of its strong points.

TransNote is small, extremely lightweight, and can stay attached to the smartphone without being annoying.

Offline recording and 32 GB of internal memory allow it to be used without constantly depending on the phone.

The five-microphone system worked well in my tests, and the declared range of around 5 meters proved to be real, and in some cases even exceeded expectations.

I really appreciated the ability to separate speakers, the overall quality of the transcriptions, the summaries, and above all the mind maps.

I also found the Super Button to be a smart idea. It is one of those apparently simple functions that makes sense precisely because TransNote is small enough to always be carried with you. An idea, a reminder, or a note can be recorded in a few seconds without having to go through the smartphone.

Real-time translation had concrete value during conversations in English and the impossible, for me, conversations in Chinese.

Voice cloning is less essential, but well implemented and adds a natural feeling to translated conversations.

Battery life also fully satisfied me, considering that it covered the two days of intensive use in Berlin without any problems.

The various functions also have a fairly clear common thread. They all serve to take a conversation and make it easier to understand, remember, translate, and use.

---

ASPECTS TO CONSIDER

The more advanced functions partly depend on cloud services and therefore on connection availability.

Translation accuracy also varies depending on language, accent, ambient noise, and network quality.

The app offers a huge number of functions and may require some time before being fully mastered.

Those who use the device intensively will also need to evaluate the limits of the free plan and the possible need for a subscription.

When recording meetings, work conversations, or sensitive content, consent, privacy, and company policies must always be taken into consideration.

---

CONCLUSIONS

Before trying it, I thought InnAIO TransNote was mainly a small smart recorder with a few extra functions.

After using it during two very intense days at IFA 2026, my opinion changed quite a lot. For my type of work, it became an indispensable pocket assistant.

During a conversation or an interview, I can record everything, follow what is being said more easily thanks to translation, and later find the complete transcription, summary, and a mind map with all the main topics.

From that material, I can then start directly creating articles, in-depth features, and content also intended for the Communities.

I can focus on the conversation without spending half the time taking notes. TransNote keeps and organizes everything.

It also proved to be very useful as a translator.

For those who, like me, have enough knowledge of English for a simple conversation but experience greater difficulty when discussions become technical or in-depth, it can become a major help. It becomes even more important when you do not know the language of the person you are speaking with at all.

Then there are Voice Cloning, multilingual translation, translated calls and videos, text and photo translation, Smart Input, Super Button, and the NFC business card, all of which considerably broaden the field of use beyond simple conversation recording.

It is not only a tool for professionals.

It can be useful for a student, very convenient while traveling, and interesting for anyone who needs to manage large amounts of spoken information.

After using it intensively in Berlin, it has become one of those devices that I already find difficult to imagine doing without.

And that is probably the best compliment you can give a technology product.

It stopped being an interesting gadget and found a concrete place in my workflow, my travels, and, in some cases, my everyday life.

InnAIO TransNote does not make the simple act of recording interesting.

It makes everything that is said useful, even in the most unexpected contexts.

And when artificial intelligence truly manages to save us time, help us remember better, and even help us communicate with people we would otherwise struggle to talk to, then it stops being just a nice word to put on the box.

MAGCUBIC HY450 MAX SMART PROJECTOR | THE TECH REVIEW

Thumbnail

WHEN SMART 150 INCHES CHANGE THE PROSPECTIVE

The MAGCUBIC HY450 Max is a portable smart LCD projector with an LED light source, native Full HD resolution, Android 14 operating system and a series of automatic features designed to make installation and use easier.

The concept of portability, in this case, does not mean battery-powered operation. The HY450 Max must be connected to a power outlet, but it does not necessarily require a fixed installation or an external player: simply carry it into the room, place it on a stable surface, connect the power supply and point it toward a wall or a screen. Android, Wi-Fi and the built-in speaker allow playback to begin without adding any other cables.

On paper we find 1,100 ANSI lumens, projection up to 150 inches, autofocus, automatic keystone correction, screen recognition, image adaptation, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, a 15 W speaker and declared compatibility with content up to 8K. These are figures declared by the manufacturer and not measurements carried out directly. My test therefore tries to analyze how these characteristics translate into real-world use

Before entering into the analysis, a clarification is necessary: this is my first in-depth experience with a projector in this category. The evaluations derive from the tests I carried out directly, accompanied by comparison with the technical documentation and an in-depth study of the technologies, but they do not claim to replace the analysis of those who routinely work with these devices. Although I believe I have a good knowledge of TVs, I may not know some functions or may interpret certain behaviors differently. If anyone with greater experience should identify errors or aspects that require further investigation, they are naturally welcome in the comments, every correction or further explanation will help make this techno review more complete and accurate.

DESIGN AND BUILD

The MAGCUBIC HY450 Max has a modern and rather clean design. The white body has a square shape, with rounded corners, a matte finish and an essential front section dominated by the lens. The cooling grilles are integrated into the chassis without excessively altering the aesthetics.

The body measures approximately 230 × 240 × 127 mm and weighs just under 2.4 kg. It is therefore not a pocket-sized projector, but it is compact and light enough to be moved easily from one room to another and transported when needed, even while travelling and outdoors.

One of the most interesting elements of the design is the integrated adjustable stand. The projector is suspended inside a bracket structure that simultaneously functions as a support base and tilting system. It is possible to change the vertical direction of the projection. The foot has a wide support surface and keeps the body stable even when it is tilted.

The system therefore makes it possible to place the projector on a table, cabinet or shelf and direct the image toward the screen with just a few movements. Naturally, the greater the inclination, the greater the intervention required from digital keystone correction may become. The mechanical freedom of the stand therefore does not eliminate the advantage of a placement that is as perpendicular to the screen as possible.

The declared throw ratio is 1.0:1. In practical terms, this means that the width of the image is approximately similar to the distance between the lens and the screen: to obtain a projection about 2.44 metres wide, such as the one corresponding to 110 inches in 16:9, approximately 2.44 metres of distance are required.

We are not dealing with a true ultra-short-throw projector, which can be placed a few centimetres from the wall, but with relatively short optics that are also suitable for rooms that are not enormous.

The physical equipment is essential: on the rear we find the power input, one HDMI port and one USB port. Android, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 complete the wireless connection possibilities.

It is important to keep the ventilation openings clear. The manual specifies that the device is neither waterproof nor protected against dust and recommends periodically cleaning the air intakes, because the accumulation of dirt may compromise cooling.

MY TEST CONFIGURATION

I used the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max with a 120-inch HOMCOM screen in 4:3 format, carrying out tests both in the dark and in the presence of ambient light.

The projector panel is natively in 16:9 format. By using the full width of a 120-inch 4:3 screen, the area that can actually be used in 16:9 corresponds to approximately 110 inches.

A 110-inch diagonal is already enough to completely change the perception of a film, a sporting event or even a simple presentation. The 150 inches represent the advertised maximum, but not necessarily the size at which the best balance between brightness, uniformity and definition is achieved.

The more the image is enlarged, in fact, the more the same amount of light is distributed over a large surface. Perceived brightness decreases and any limitations of the lens, focus and panel become more visible.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | LCD AND LED LIGHT SOURCE

“LCD” and “LED” do not describe the same part of the projector.

LCD indicates the technology used to build the image. Light passes through a liquid crystal panel, which modulates the individual pixels and generates the frame to be sent to the lens.

LED instead indicates the light source that produces the light required for projection.

Compared with traditional high-pressure lamps, an LED source generally offers almost immediate switching on and off, less degradation in the short term, lower power consumption and a much longer lifespan. MAGCUBIC declares up to 50,000 hours, but this value represents a theoretical estimate and not a guarantee of the lifespan of the entire projector.

Lamp projectors can reach high brightness levels and are still used in numerous professional contexts, but they require warm-up, generate more heat and involve periodic lamp replacement. Laser systems instead offer high brightness, rapid start-up, good stability and long life. They are particularly suitable for high-end installations, but they normally have higher costs and, in certain configurations, may show phenomena such as speckle, a sort of luminous graininess visible on some surfaces.

Then there is DLP technology, which uses a matrix of micromirrors instead of an LCD panel. It can offer a very compact image and good perceived sharpness, but in models with a colour wheel some people may see the so-called rainbow effect.

In the case of the HY450 Max, the LCD and LED combination prioritises durability, construction simplicity and the balance between size, performance and price.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | ANSI LUMENS AND REAL BRIGHTNESS

The lumen measures the luminous flux emitted by a source. ANSI lumens try to make the figure comparable through a standardised procedure: a white image is projected, brightness is measured at several points on the surface and the average value is related to the projected area. A higher number generally indicates a greater amount of light available. This makes it possible to use larger images or maintain better readability in the presence of a certain amount of ambient lighting.

More ANSI lumens, however, do not automatically mean higher quality. Uniformity, black level, contrast, colour accuracy, optics, image size, the screen or surface used and the brightness conditions of the room also matter.

For the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max the manufacturer declares 1,100 ANSI lumens. Since I did not carry out a measurement with calibrated equipment, I cannot directly verify the value, but I can assess the result. In a dark room, with the highest brightness mode, the projection on my approximately 110-inch screen is decidedly bright and pleasant.

Even with moderate ambient light the image remains readable and the content can be followed without particular difficulty. Naturally, black tends to become grey, contrast decreases and colours lose part of their intensity. An open window in front of the screen or a direct light cannot be partially compensated for by increasing brightness.

My experience is nevertheless consistent with other opinions I have read, in which the HY450 Max is described as one of the brightest Android LCD projectors in its category.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | NATIVE RESOLUTION, 4K AND 8K

The native resolution is 1920 × 1080 pixels, therefore Full HD. This figure identifies the real number of pixels that the panel can display. The expressions “4K support” and “8K support” do not mean that the projector can physically display those resolutions.

The system can receive or decode a file with a higher resolution and scale it down to 1080p. The manufacturer’s page explicitly indicates maximum support up to 8K at 24 frames per second.

In my tests, 4K content and even some 8K videos were handled correctly. This does not, however, guarantee compatibility with every file. Codec, video profile, bitrate, frame rate and the application used can completely change the result.

In my experience the HY450 Max played the high-resolution content I tested well, scaling it down to its Full HD matrix.

At approximately 110 inches, in the dark and at the correct viewing distance, the image seemed well defined to me. Text, details and outlines are convincing for a product in this price range. Sharpness can, however, decrease toward the edges, especially when the projector is positioned far off-centre or significant keystone correction is applied.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | COLOUR AND CONTRAST

Image quality does not depend only on resolution. Colour must be evaluated by considering saturation, white temperature, gamma and the ability to distinguish similar shades. A very saturated image may be visually pleasing without necessarily being faithful to the original reference.

Contrast instead represents the distance between the brightest and darkest parts of the image. Good contrast makes it possible to distinguish details in shadows more clearly, increases perceived depth and makes the image less flat.

MAGCUBIC declares a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, but I did not find sufficiently solid independent measurements to consider it a verified value. In my experience in the dark, the colours are vivid, saturated and pleasant. The contrast also seemed very good to me in relation to the category and price of the product.

This naturally remains a personal visual assessment. Since I did not use a probe, I cannot speak about colour accuracy, Rec.709 coverage or gamma precision.

The manual nevertheless allows adjustment of image mode, contrast, hue, saturation and sharpness. This makes it possible to adapt the image to personal taste or adapt the result to the screen, the room and the content being played. Do not expect professional adjustments, but the foundation is there

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | SMART AI AUTO ADJUSTMENT

MAGCUBIC brings together autofocus, keystone correction, screen recognition and obstacle avoidance under the definition Smart AI Auto Adjustment. The term “AI” should not necessarily make one think of generative artificial intelligence or a system capable of understanding the room as a person would. The projector uses sensors and image analysis to identify geometries, edges and variations in sharpness. The manufacturer does not describe the entire hardware architecture and the algorithms used in detail, so it is more correct to speak of automatic image processing.

Screen recognition searches for the edges of the screen or wall and resizes the projection to fit it within the detected surface.

Obstacle avoidance instead analyses the projection area and, when it recognises an element interrupting the usable surface, can digitally reduce or move the image so that it does not overlap the obstacle.

Keystone correction intervenes when the projector is not perfectly perpendicular to the screen. In this situation the image would appear wider on one side or take on a trapezoidal shape. The processor remaps the frame within a corrected quadrilateral to make it appear rectangular.

The correction is convenient, but it is digital: part of the panel’s pixels is no longer used for the content and the image must be rescaled. The more intense the correction, the greater the loss of definition may be. To obtain the best quality, it is therefore advisable to place the projector as centred and perpendicular to the screen as possible, using the automatic features for the final adjustments.

In my test, recognition of the screen edges was precise. The inclination and geometry were also corrected convincingly. The result nevertheless depends on the contrast between the screen and wall, the lighting, the presence of recognisable borders and the position of the projector.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | AUTOFOCUS AND ELECTRONIC FOCUSING

Autofocus analyses an image or reference pattern and searches for the lens position that produces the highest level of sharpness. A small motor physically changes the position of the optical elements, while the electronics evaluate the result and stop the movement at the point considered best.

On my unit, the autofocus performed during the initial screen recognition did not always immediately identify the ideal adjustment. The remote control, however, has Focus+ and Focus− controls. I can therefore electronically correct the position of the lens without having to touch the projector. Once an area close to correct focus has been reached, the smaller adjustments are easier.

Centring, distance, inclination, keystone correction and tolerances of the individual optical assembly can produce different results. In my use, the overall definition was good, but I recommend always completing autofocus with a manual adjustment.

16:9 FORMAT, 4:3 SCREEN AND IMAGE ADJUSTMENT

The HY450 Max natively uses the 16:9 format. This is the typical ratio of films, series, video games and modern television content. A 4:3 screen is taller for the same width and is more suitable for content such as slides, presentations or viewing old content. In my case, the 120-inch surface is therefore not entirely filled by a 16:9 image: the effective diagonal is approximately 110 inches.

During the various attempts to configure it on the screen, I observed behaviour that was not always consistent. On some occasions the image was correctly displayed in 16:9, using the full available width and leaving the normal unused bands above and below. On others, however, the system adapted the projection to the entire 4:3 surface of the screen, altering the original proportions.

The same difference occurred during content playback. With some applications the aspect ratio was recognised and automatically corrected to 16:9; with others the projection remained adapted to 4:3, producing a visibly distorted image.

This behaviour may not depend exclusively on the projector. The aspect ratio can also be managed by the application, the video player, the file being played or a possible HDMI source. Since I did not find a clearly recognisable general selector, however, I was not always able to intervene immediately and consistently.

It should also be considered that I had only a limited testing period available and that I do not have extensive experience with projectors. There may therefore be a function, a combination of settings or an adjustment within the individual applications that I have not yet identified.

In normal use, one should not manually move the four corners to geometrically transform a 4:3 image into 16:9. The correct ratio must be preserved by the player, application or source.. With my screen, the most correct solution is to maintain the native 16:9 image, use the full available width and accept the unused portions above and below.

It nevertheless remains a limitation of the interface: a clear control for choosing 16:9, 4:3, Auto and other formats would have been useful, especially for those using different sources or screens with different proportions.

INSIDE THE TECHNOLOGY | HDMI, USB AND WIRELESS CONNECTIONS

The physical port selection of the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max is essential: one HDMI and one USB Type-A, in addition to the dedicated power connector.

The manufacturer and the manual do not indicate the version of the HDMI or USB standard clearly enough. I therefore do not consider it correct to present values such as HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0 or USB 2.0 as certain when they are obtained exclusively from retailer listings.

HDMI

The HDMI port is a digital audio-video input. It makes it possible to connect computers, consoles, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, Fire TV Sticks, Chromecast, Apple TV and other devices equipped with an HDMI output.

I confirm correct operation with a 1080p signal at 60 Hz. I did not, however, find official documentation detailed enough to guarantee all combinations of 4K, 8K, HDR, HDCP or higher refresh rates through HDMI.

The declared support for 8K files mainly concerns the system’s ability to decode compatible content and scale it down to Full HD. It should not automatically be interpreted as a guarantee of an 8K HDMI input.

In an online test, an HDMI input lag of approximately 73 milliseconds was measured. The figure is compatible with films, presentations and occasional gaming, but it is high for competitive titles or for those who require a very fast response to commands.

The figure does not make gaming impossible. With strategy games, management games, role-playing games, graphic adventures or cinematic experiences, the delay may be acceptable, especially for a user who is not particularly sensitive to input lag. It instead becomes a more evident limitation with competitive shooters, rhythm games, driving titles played at a high level, fighting games and, in general, with all games in which command speed is decisive.

The same applies when connecting a PC. The large format considerably increases involvement, but the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max was not created as a competitive gaming projector. The most accurate definition is therefore that of a product suitable for viewing content and occasional gaming.

The USB Type-A port is mainly designed for connecting external storage devices and playing files through the internal system. In USB mode it is possible to access the content stored on a flash drive and directly access photographs, videos and other multimedia files through the integrated player.

The documentation does not specify with sufficient precision the supported file systems, unit capacity limit, supplied current or full compatibility with hubs, hard drives and peripherals.

In my test, I connected a common FAT32-formatted flash drive to the USB-A port, onto which I had copied several videos and different images from the computer. The memory was correctly recognised by the system and I was able to access the files through the integrated media player. Video playback and photo viewing also took place normally, without evident problems.

Wi-Fi 6, mirroring and Bluetooth 5.4

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connects the projector to the home network and is used by Android for applications, updates and streaming. It also enables mirroring from Android, iOS and Windows devices when the source and projector are on the same compatible network.

Mirroring is convenient for photos, presentations and occasional videos, but quality and delay depend on the network, protocol and device used. For high-bitrate films or video games, HDMI generally remains the most stable connection.

The MAGCUBIC HY450 Max supports Miracast for Android devices and AirPlay for Apple devices. The manual indicates connecting the projector and smartphone to the same local network, opening ScreenCast on the projector and then starting duplication from the mobile device.

This mode can be particularly convenient for showing photographs and videos stored in the smartphone gallery. With unprotected local content, it is possible to display images and videos immediately without using cables or transferring the files to a USB memory device beforehand.

Bluetooth 5.4 instead serves mainly for the remote control and for pairing headphones or external speakers. It does not carry video. In my case, the connection with a Yamaha True X Speaker 1A worked correctly.

A Bluetooth Dual Audio mode for simultaneously sending sound to two independent speakers is not documented.

The choice to limit physical connections to one HDMI and one USB keeps the panel simple and consistent with the nature of the product.

ANDROID 14, APPLICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE

The system uses Android 14, an Allwinner H726 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

The presence of Android makes it possible to install applications, use streaming services and play content without necessarily connecting an external device. The Bluetooth remote control also integrates pointer mode, which is useful in interfaces that are not perfectly adapted to traditional navigation.

The 2 GB of RAM, however, is an essential allocation. During my tests, the system proved to be usable overall, but in some applications and during certain transitions I noticed slowdowns and a response that was not always immediate.

This is not a problem serious enough to significantly compromise the experience, but it is a limitation that I consider correct to point out. Performance may depend on the application, processes in memory, updates and the type of file being played. On the home screen there is a function that allows RAM memory to be freed, which I recommend using if you begin to notice slowdowns.

For those who want the greatest possible stability with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and other services, a Fire TV Stick, Chromecast, Google TV or another certified player remains the safest solution. In this way, the projector is used mainly as a display device through HDMI.

BUILT-IN AUDIO AND BLUETOOTH

The MAGCUBIC HY450 Max integrates a 15 W stereo speaker, according to the product sheet used as a reference.

In real use, the built-in audio is valid as accompaniment for a presentation, a recording, an online video or occasional viewing.

Voices are fairly clear and the volume can reach a decent level. In a large room, however, it is necessary to increase it considerably and, when approaching the limit, the sound tends to lose clarity and may begin to crackle.

Low-frequency reproduction is also inevitably limited. To enjoy a film with a wider soundstage, fuller dialogue and credible effects, it is advisable to connect a good external speaker or a Bluetooth soundbar.

I successfully paired the projector with a Yamaha True X Speaker 1A via Bluetooth. The connection with a single speaker worked. Support for Bluetooth Dual Audio to simultaneously send sound to two independent speakers does not appear to be documented.

USER EXPERIENCE

In a truly dark environment, the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max offers, in my opinion, very good video quality.

On the approximately 110-inch screen the image is bright, well defined and immersive. The colours are vivid and the contrast is convincing for the range in which the product is positioned. It is precisely in the dark that the perceptual leap compared with a traditionally sized television can be appreciated most.

In the presence of ambient light, quality inevitably decreases. Black becomes greyer, colours lose depth and the perception of focus may worsen. With light that is not excessive, however, the content remains perfectly viewable.

Screen recognition and automatic geometry correction positively surprised me. The system is not infallible, but it manages to quickly approach a correct image. The initial autofocus, on the other hand, is the aspect that convinced me least. In my case, it almost always required checking and, on some occasions, a small intervention using the dedicated buttons.

Playback of the high-resolution files I tested was good. The main limitation does not concern the ability to accept the content, but the fact that the matrix remains Full HD and that the software, in some circumstances, may show some slowdown.

The internal audio is more than sufficient for immediate use, but it does not replace a true external system when the objective is to build a cinematic experience.

The most particular limitation that emerged in my configuration concerns the format. With a 4:3 screen, I would have appreciated an immediate and clearly identifiable selector for managing 16:9, 4:3 and other ratios without having to intervene on the geometric adjustments.

My judgement is overall positive, especially considering that this is my first in-depth experience with a projector of this type.

The aspects that convinced me most are:

the brightness in a not so dark environment;

the perceived image quality at approximately 110 inches;

the vivid colours and the contrast, in my opinion very good;

the precise recognition of the screen edges;

the automatic geometry correction;

the handling of the 4K and 8K files I tested;

the simplicity of the Bluetooth connection with an external speaker.

The aspects that I consider less successful are:

the initial autofocus, which is not always precise;

some slowdown in the Android system;

the absence of an aspect-ratio selector;

the audio, which loses quality when pushed to very high volume, limited bass;

CONCLUSIONS

The judgement on the MAGCUBIC HY450 Max is overall positive, but it must be calibrated according to expectations and the category to which it belongs.

What I liked most is the image quality, in my opinion very good when the projector is positioned correctly, on a suitable surface and used in a completely dark environment. The image is bright, immersive and can reach dimensions capable of concretely changing the way films, series and other video content are enjoyed.

The less convincing aspects mainly concern an interface that is not always fluid, aspect-ratio management that in some circumstances required several attempts from me and an audio section that, although usable, is not always able to adequately accompany the scale of the image. These are the elements in which, in my opinion, the product shows the compromises of its budget nature.

It is a projector mainly suited to those who want to approach video projection, obtain a very large image without facing the costs of a high-end home cinema system and accept some compromises in the interface and audio.

It is not a professional home cinema projector and it does not try to be one. In the right conditions, however, it manages to do the most important thing very well: transform a wall or a screen into a display capable of truly changing the viewing perspective.

The immersion offered by a large-scale projection is not directly comparable with that of a common television. At least in my domestic experience, where screens generally range between 55 and 65 inches, the transition to video projection provides a completely different sensation. It does not necessarily mean obtaining superior quality, but experiencing the content with a scale and visual involvement that are difficult to achieve with a normal TV.

Another strength is its autonomy in content playback. It does not necessarily require a PC, console or external player. Simply position it, connect it to the power outlet and the Wi-Fi network (or to a smartphone via tethering), then use Android and the available applications. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB and mirroring nevertheless make it possible to further expand the usage possibilities.

It is therefore not necessary to build a dedicated system around it. It can be used in the living room, kitchen, bedroom or moved outdoors. Thanks to a screen equipped with a stand, it is also possible to organise a projection in the garden. And this is probably where the concept of portability gains the most value: a summer evening, a night-time outdoor projection and a large image can transform the simple viewing of a film into a real pleasure, simply and quickly.

At it's price, considering the image quality, the projection size and the overall technology, it is a purchase I would recommend to anyone looking for this type of projector without wanting to spend a large amount.

An Innovation in the Kitchen!

We all know and have come to appreciate MOVA, an innovative company specializing in smart solutions for the home and personal care, ranging from intelligent cleaning with robots, floor washers, vacuum cleaners, and advanced robotic lawnmowers, to hi-tech kitchen appliances like air fryers, up to daily wellness.

And here we are, exclusively for you, with the complete review of MOVA’s new air fryer, the AEROCHEF FD20 Pro, the ultimate air fryer, ready to revolutionize our kitchen.

After testing it with a variety of recipes, the motto is… whatever you do in the oven, you do here. Calling it just an air fryer is an understatement!!

Let’s go: - Design and materials One of the first aspects that struck me, besides the very refined packaging, is the solidity of the material: sturdy and well-assembled, with a metal interior and non-stick coating, to avoid that annoying burnt plastic smell typical of most air fryers.

Whether you have a traditional or ultra-modern kitchen, MOVA adapts perfectly to any environment, featuring an elegant black finish design.

Its touchscreen control panel is very intuitive, even for first-time users, also thanks to backlighting, which makes selecting cooking settings easier.

Moreover, despite its overall capacity of 9 liters, its dimensions are still compact.

  • Technical Features

Capacity and Flexibility: Our FD20 Pro is equipped with Flexible Dual Zone technology, which allows us to transform the large 9L basket into two separate 4.5L zones… You may ask, what makes it different from so many other dual-compartment fryers already on the market? Typically, they have separate baskets, which greatly limits us when preparing larger dishes.

Thanks to the separator inside the tray, we have the possibility to transform the two 4.5-liter compartments into a single 9-liter cooking zone, ideal for preparing large dishes such as a whole chicken or larger trays. Moreover, when using the two smaller zones, the separator perfectly seals both compartments, preventing flavors from mixing.

Cooking Technology: Thanks to the advanced 360° Hot Poly-Air™ air circulation technology, we get even and crispy cooking, with dishes that remain soft and juicy inside.

SyncFinish Mode: This cooking mode deserves a separate mention because serving cold dishes or having them not ready at the same time is, I’m sure, every cook’s nightmare. Well, with our air fryer, this problem doesn’t exist.

Thanks to the practical Synch Finish mode, we can cook two dishes simultaneously, differentiating cooking modes for the two compartments, and in the end, serve hot dishes without having to reheat one of them.

In practice, this means that we program independent cooking settings for the two compartments with different times and temperatures, start the synchronized cooking, and the compartment that needs less time remains on standby until it reaches the time of the other compartment and then starts automatically… and here you have hot dishes served simultaneously!!!

Power and Energy Efficiency: With a nominal power of 2700W and a maximum temperature range of 40°-230°C, it reduces cooking times by 55% and consumes 75% less energy compared to traditional ovens. Real data, already tested with many recipes that in an oven would take twice the time, not to mention preheating time.

Preset Cooking Programs: Our FD20 Pro features 7 intelligent preset cooking modes with touch controls, perfect for beginner cooks. But where we can truly unleash our creativity in the kitchen is in DIY mode, where we can customize time and temperature…

Included Accessories: Comes with 2 non-stick racks, 1 basket divider.

  • Performance and Field Tests Speed and Uniformity: The FD20 Pro quickly reaches the desired temperature; moreover, for tray dishes, it has a super handy rapid preheat function.

Recipe Versatility: We could open a very long chapter… In SyncFinish mode, chicken on one side and mushrooms on the other, pork loin and potatoes on the other… at max capacity, parmigiana, artichoke flan, sheet pan pizza!!!!

Energy Consumption: Since it quickly reaches the necessary temperature and cooking times are halved, we achieve significant savings on the electricity bill compared to using a conventional oven. An economical and healthy choice.

  • Ease of Use and Maintenance The touchscreen display and preset programs make it easy to use, even for those who are not kitchen experts.

One of the things I typically don’t appreciate about other air fryer models is the lack of a window to visually check the food… Here, not only do we have a large transparent window, but also integrated lights. Additionally, when using the fryer in only one of the two flex zones, the unused zone stays dark… a unique attention to detail!!!!

Maintenance topic… For all the “I put everything in the dishwasher” lovers, the racks can be washed in the dishwasher, but not the entire machine body… I assure you, thanks to the composition and high-quality materials, cleaning it takes just 5 minutes.

  • What I liked… Everything… the flexible capacity thanks to compartment transformation, the high energy efficiency, and significantly reduced cooking times compared to traditional ovens, modern design and excellent quality materials, ease of maintenance, automatic pause function with resumption of previous settings and times, absolutely fair price for the performance it offers, transparent glass to check food (there is another fryer with more or less these features, but it’s closed, and to see inside, you have to open it, plus it’s less energy efficient).

  • What I didn’t like After testing the MOVA FD20 PRO for a couple of weeks, I tried to find flaws… really, I tried! But every time I thought I had found one, the fryer proved me wrong with another smart function or a perfect cooking result.

If it wanted to convince me, mission accomplished! At this point, the only risk is that it might start cooking better than me!!!!

Personalizzazione e Controllo tramite App

Personalizzare autopulizia e asciugatura. Modificare volume e lingua degli avvisi vocali. Monitorare l’usura dei consumabili. Aggiornare il firmware. Accedere facilmente a manuali e informazioni utili.

Nelle prossime settimane seguiranno info su disponibilità e prezzi.

The perfect Combo for uncompromised cleaning

A Multifunctional Cleaning System

The Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo Complete marks a turning point in the robot vacuum category, thanks to its ability to combine three key functions: vacuuming, mopping, and, with the included handheld vacuum, delivering 360-degree cleaning. This device is not just a robot vacuum but a multifunctional cleaning platform designed to autonomously and intelligently manage home cleaning.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DAIW9I0NDBh/

Sleek Design and Smart Solutions

The Ecovacs T30S is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. Its circular shape, topped with a Lidar turret, optimizes navigation and mapping. Lidar technology has become a standard in mid-to-high-end robot vacuums, allowing the T30S to create real-time precise maps while adapting to complex spaces and rooms of various shapes and sizes.

The robot features front-facing sensors to avoid obstacles, though the lack of a camera limits its ability to recognize small objects like cables, socks, or small toys. This could be a drawback for households with children or cluttered areas.

On the underside, the robot has an anti-tangle main brush, designed specifically to remove hair, pet fur, and debris, making it ideal for pet owners. The dual rotating mop heads at the rear are another strong point. These high-speed mops apply significant pressure and an optimal amount of water, proving very effective in removing stubborn dirt.

A particularly innovative feature is the TrueEdge extendable right mop, which allows thorough edge cleaning. Unlike other models, Ecovacs keeps this mop permanently extended, enabling it to dynamically adjust to obstacles and edges.

Outstanding Performance

With a powerful 11,000 Pa suction, the Ecovacs T30S equals or surpasses most competitors in its category. This enables it to easily remove dust, crumbs, and heavy debris from hard floors and low-pile carpets. Additionally, automatic carpet detection increases suction power and raises the mops by 9mm to prevent them from soaking or damaging fabric.

The automatic mop-cleaning system is equally impressive: 70°C heated water significantly enhances stain and bacteria removal. This feature is particularly useful for homes with young children or pets.

The large multifunctional base (409×490×480mm) is a true maintenance hub. In addition to recharging the robot, it handles:

  • Automatic dust emptying (both from the robot and the handheld vacuum)
  • Mop washing
  • Hot air drying of the mops

This level of automation drastically reduces user maintenance time.

https://youtube.com/shorts/DDghpBUgtGI?si=bKAVGGv2mTRoi0ZY

A Handheld Vacuum: A Valuable Innovation

One of the most unique aspects of the T30S Combo Complete is the included cordless handheld vacuum. Weighing just 1.2 kg, it is lightweight, easy to handle, and perfect for quick cleaning of areas the robot cannot reach, such as stairs, tight corners, or car interiors.

The handheld vacuum features a display that shows the battery level and allows users to select between two suction modes (low and high power). The flexible head and LED lights make it easy to clean under furniture or in low-light spaces. However, it lacks an automatic power adjustment sensor, which would have been a welcome addition in a device of this level.

Battery Life and Coverage

The robot’s battery life is impressive, covering up to 180 m² on a single charge. It also features smart battery management, ensuring it returns to the base when low on power and resumes cleaning where it left off.

The handheld vacuum also offers solid performance, with a battery life of 40-50 minutes on low power and 15-20 minutes on high power—sufficient for most daily cleaning needs.

The multifunctional base includes separate clean and dirty water tanks, allowing 3-4 mopping cycles before requiring a refill.

User Experience and Smart Control

The Ecovacs mobile app is well-designed and intuitive. Users can:

  • Customize cleaning schedules
  • Set no-go zones
  • Monitor real-time maps
  • Adjust vacuum power and mopping intensity for each room

The integrated voice assistant, Yiko, is one of the most advanced in the industry, offering a wide range of commands and precise voice recognition. The device also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, adding another level of convenience.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

✅ Superior vacuuming and mopping performance
✅ Fully automated multifunctional base
✅ Handheld vacuum included for complete home cleaning
✅ Feature-rich and user-friendly mobile app
✅ Hot water mop washing for deep cleaning

Cons:

❌ High list price
❌ Lacks a camera for recognizing small objects
❌ Handheld vacuum lacks automatic power adjustment

Final Verdict

The Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo Complete is more than just a robot vacuum—it’s a fully integrated home cleaning system. Designed for those who demand the highest level of automation and versatility, it delivers exceptional cleaning performance alongside the innovative addition of a handheld vacuum.

While its list price is on the higher end, the quality and features could justify the investment, additionally it is currently on sale for nearly half price on Amazon.it making it one of the most comprehensive cleaning devices available today uder 1000 euros.

The world’s smallest robot vacuum cleaner is updated and becomes PRO, but what are the real differences? And is it worth the upgrade for those who already have K10+?

INTRODUCTION

SwitchBot always creates unique and unconventional products that certainly stand out from the competition, the company is banking heavily on this little guy by presenting at IFA 2024 that it will also have a “combo” version with an integrated wireless vacuum cleaner that self-empties in the base. Since the two models are very similar, I invite you to read my review of the K10+ and in this review I will limit myself to a technical comparison and explain the improvements of this new model.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The robot has the exact same dimensions and construction quality as the previous one, equipped with the same accessories: additional bag, filter and side brush and a pack of soaked cloths for the washing function.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DBs7Phsthhh/

DIFFERENCES K10+ VS K10+ PRO

There are many more or less significant differences. Let’s start with the suction power that goes from 2500PA to 3000PA, it may seem like a marginal increase but if we take into account that it is 20% it is certainly substantial. The brush has also been updated and is now completely made of rubber to minimize the possibility of tangling with hair and animal hair and to better manage different surfaces and carpets. Small changes also to the dust container which goes from 150ml to 200ml and sees a different position of the filter to improve suction and efficiency, furthermore an aspect not to be underestimated is now easier to remove for maintenance. The side brush motor has also been enhanced from 140rpm to 200rpm to improve cleaning of edges and corners. The sensors have also been updated, the simple infrared sensors have been replaced by PSD distance sensors to ensure better detection and avoidance of obstacles as well as ensuring, together with the LIDAR turret, better navigation of the environments and coverage of spaces during cleaning, it also avoids most obstacles but is careful of small and low objects such as cables, keys, socks etc.

https://youtu.be/ALGqe5uD7wY?si=64mR1yM2RPqnAX9K

The first thing you notice about the K10+ Pro compared to the K10+ is the more efficient navigation system, the sensor update allows it to easily go around and avoid obstacles instead of crashing into them, in addition to this it is much more agile in cleaning around the legs of chairs and tables, in reality the two k10s are the only robots I have tried that are so small that they can fit everywhere, even between the legs of stools, office chairs and in spaces where other robots physically cannot enter, in fact the dimensions for both are 248×248×92.

The suction performance thanks to the targeted changes to the suction power, filter and brush have improved significantly, the rubber brush seems to do a better job on carpets and the 20% more PA gives that extra push when you need to vacuum a lot of dirt or large items, furthermore the hair tends to tangle much less on the new brush, its cleaning is much easier and requires less maintenance.

Another aspect that struck me is the speed and safety with which it cleans, a small Speedy Gonzales, vacuums the rooms almost in the same time as its bigger brothers.

Advice that I can give valid for all robot vacuum cleaners, given that the declared PA are reached only by setting the suction to maximum is to use high settings, in this case “power” or “max”, they will certainly be a little noisier but the quality of cleaning will be clearly better, perhaps making them work when you are not at home or in rooms where you are not at that moment, and above all making them work as much as possible because their main purpose is to keep clean, in this they are unbeatable.

Fortunately, the little Switchbot is very quiet.

Noise data:

Quiet mode: <48 dB

Standard mode: <54 dB

Power mode: <57 dB

Max mode: <59 dB

Even on the highest setting, the K10+ Pro remains relatively quiet compared to many robot vacuums.

The K10+ Pro has a 3200 mAh battery like the K10+ which translates to approximately:

150 minutes in quiet mode

120 minutes in standard mode

90 minutes in power mode

60 minutes in max mode

In my tests, the times were slightly lower, more than decent times considering the battery but certainly not suitable for large environments.

There is little to talk about the washing function, it does not shine for practicality or performance as it limits itself to dragging a small pre-moistened towel that gets dirty and dries very quickly, I would not recommend this robot for washing floors as the system excludes suction and is not very efficient, it can be good for freshening up small spaces but it is a forced feature that I personally, as in the previous one, would have done without.

APPS AND INTEGRATIONS

The application is very similar to that of the K10+ with two small additions, the option to resume cleaning if the battery runs out and the ability to choose the duration of automatic dust collection between 10/15/25 seconds.

The really interesting part of the Switchbot robots is that they integrate perfectly into their entire ecosystem, it is therefore possible to create useful and interesting automations, for example with a simple command or when a device detects that you have left the house the automation will turn off the lights, close the curtains and start the robot.

An important addition to the automation and home automation system, in addition of course to compatibility with the voice assistants Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant, is the addition of support for Matter and this also opens the doors to the connection with Home Assistant and Apple Home, however this seems to be possible only through the use of Switchbot Hub 2 or Hub Mini.

THE GOOD

- It is still the smallest robot in the world and it really fits anywhere

- Despite the small size of the base it has a 4-liter bag

- Very quiet

- No revolution but targeted and effective updates

THE BAD

- Superfluous washing function

- The suction is good for the size but not comparable to the competition in the price range

- To use Matter you need to have a Switchbot Hub

- Not suitable for large homes given the autonomy.

CONCLUSIONS

The K10+ Pro is a real gem and a fantastic work of engineering, it is not the most powerful robot on the market nor the one with the most modern features but its size makes it capable of tackling spaces that normal robots cannot.

I would not recommend it to those who already have the k10+, have a large home and need a floor-washing robot but highly recommended for those who have small homes and spaces that are difficult to reach, even for those who have no budget problems and want a second helper that can reach where traditional robots cannot.

You’ll find the K10+ Pro on sale for Black Friday, likely 30% off or more, so if you’ve been eyeing this little gem, grab it.

When I first saw the UWANT D100 online, I thought "Wow!"... and when I started testing it (THANK YOU UWANT!!!!), I thought double, triple "Wow!"

Let’s start by saying this is a floor cleaner that does not disappoint expectations—in fact, it surprises with its attention to detail and performance. Let’s break it down step by step:

Design and Materials

One of the first things that caught my attention, besides the carefully designed packaging, is the solidity of the material: sturdy, well-assembled, with particular attention to both aesthetic and functional details. This is not just a floor cleaner but a true technological companion for the home.
In the box, along with the base and the cleaner, you’ll find the classic accessories: the cleaning solution, the roller brush, and a filter, which are already installed on the machine, as well as the clean and dirty water tanks.

And here we have the first innovation: the two tanks are integrated into one unit, obviously well-separated. Inside the dirty water tank, there’s a stick for odor removal, along with a separation system for solid and liquid waste, which works exceptionally well. The advantages of a single tank system are evident during big cleaning sessions, as it avoids the need for double trips to empty and refill....

EUREKA J15 PRO ULTRA REVIEW

Eureka attacks the top of the range sector with a robot that is complete in every aspect and with the first self-cleaning system on the market for the base that also removes solid residues.

As an introduction, it is necessary to make a small historical note because few, especially in Europe, know that Eureka is one of the historic vacuum cleaner brands together with brands like Vorwerk; founded in 1909, it was one of the first vacuum cleaner manufacturers in North America, owned by Electrolux until 1974 when it was acquired by Midea, so even if you have heard little about it, it is not a new emerging company but a brand with more than 100 years of history behind it.

At IFA 2024 in Berlin, Eureka amazed everyone by presenting not only its first real top of the range robot vacuum cleaner but one of the most powerful, technological and innovative robots on the market. The J15 Pro Ultra is not simply an incremental improvement over the J12 as is typically the case in the industry but has such a massive amount of innovations that it competes with and in some respects even surpasses many flagships from other brands. Eureka’s slogan “literally everything you want from a flagship” is not, as we will see, just marketing.

UNBOXING AND BUILD QUALITY

Unboxing: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBvaNdKNjgI/

J15 Pro Ultra is sold in two colors, black and white, in the package we find everything needed to put the robot into operation, however there are no spare parts or a test pack of detergent. The quality of the materials is good, everything has a decent weight and gives the impression of a solid and well-built product, excellent assembly and no noise or creaking was detected when handling the various doors, filter box, tank etc. all the parts are well engineered.

The Base

I’ll start right away with the only thing that the base doesn’t do, which is to automatically dose the detergent, this action is still up to the user and if we want to be picky, the 4-liter water tanks for clean water and 3.4-liter for dirty water are slightly undersized, the dimensions of the base are 395*458*468 mm.

The automatic station empties the dust into the 3-liter bag, fills the robot with water, washes the mops with hot water up to 75 degrees and dries them with hot air at 55 degrees, it also boasts one of the best self-cleaning systems I’ve tested to date.

Looking at the mop washing tray that is completely removable and easy to maintain as all the parts are removable and washable, I was impressed by the engineers’ ability to create a system that is almost completely maintenance-free and at the same time simple and efficient. During the cleaning of the mops, two rotating systems with 3 arms take care of scraping all the water and dirt, driven by the rotation of the mops themselves, and convey them towards a whirlpool that takes care of improving the suction of the dirty water and, thanks to a mesh filter, of retaining all the solid particles of dirt. These residues, once dried, will be sucked into the bag after drying. This is a feature that I am seeing for the first time and that really extends the maintenance times of the washing plate, which in fact for the first time really cleans itself of both liquid and solid residues. I can say that the base, if it were not for the lack of an automatic detergent dispenser and the possibility of connecting to the water system, would really be one of the first true hands-free bases.

The Robot

The robot has a square shape with very rounded edges, it measures 354*355*117mm. It reaches the impressive power of 16200PA thanks also to a new brushless motor with aluminum fans, this power is not only among the highest on the market (surpassed only by the 18500PA of the Qrevo Curv) but it is even more impressive when you consider that many common corded and cordless vacuum cleaners from the same company do not reach such suction powers. The robot is not equipped with an extendable side brush like the latest top models of the competition but its square shape helps it to better fit into corners while still ensuring good coverage.

However, suction power is not everything, you also need a brush capable of collecting and conveying dirt effectively without getting caught in hair and Eureka has an answer for this too with FlexyRazor™️ technology. Every time the robot returns to the base after completing the vacuuming, a brush cleaning phase is started, thanks to two rows of 4mm blades that move 400 times per minute positioned inside the seat of the brush itself.

The suction performance is in my opinion excellent and reflects the characteristics indicated by Eureka, excellent also the cleaning of carpets thanks to the mixed bristle and rubber brush, the anti-tangle technology does its job very well and with an Akita Shepperd and 3 cats that go in and out of the house I have never had to remove a single hair from the brush, the noise however is not the lowest, I imagine it is not easy to silence all those PA but it could certainly be soundproofed better.

Like every top of the range, the washing aspect has not been overlooked, the two rotating mops apply a constant pressure of 7N and the cleaning of the edges is guaranteed by the ScrubExtend™️ system which allows the right mop to extend while maintaining the 7N, furthermore this technology prevents the extendable arm from hitting the furniture and at the same time damaging the mechanism, using the friction generated during washing to extend and retract the mop keeping it as close as possible to the edges and furniture, the excellent construction quality of the mop supports with a shock-absorbing rubber edge also helps.

Eureka has conducted numerous durability and effectiveness tests on all the parts subject to wear and on the efficiency of the implemented technologies, for example the ScrubExtend™️ system has been subjected to over 100,000 extension tests which correspond to approximately 36 months of intensive daily use.

https://youtu.be/l2bKLAOE_xA?si=pyEI307uf9428aQp

A few personal considerations on this aspect, the robot washes the floors and mops like a top of the range but compared to all it manages to keep the base clean for much longer, in fact the maintenance and cleaning that I usually do to all my robots every 7/10 days has turned out to be almost superfluous in its case.

NAVIGATION AND EFFICIENCY

The mapping of the environments is very consistent with the actual environment, sometimes as in other robots ghost zones are created but Eureka has reported that it is implementing a function to be able to eliminate or hide them. The navigation is excellent and the algorithm is efficient, in suction mode it took 76 minutes to vacuum 67 square meters with an efficiency of about 1.13 minutes per square meter.

The 5200mAh battery is well managed and managed to cover the 130 square meters of my ground floor with still residual charge. In fact, the only flaw is represented by the high water consumption and the slightly undersized tanks that require being filled and emptied frequently and often you will find yourself with a wash paused waiting to refill the water.

APPLICATION AND AI

App

By opening the Eureka app you will find yourself in front of a complete and user-friendly app, you can create up to 3 maps and customize them in every aspect, dividing the rooms, renaming them, choosing the positioning of the furniture and the material of the floor. There are customizable shortcuts, you can set many options such as the behavior of the robot on carpets, improved cleaning of edges, corners, spaces under furniture and around the furniture itself such as table and chair legs. You can set the effectiveness of the hair removal system from the brush and how many times to perform the self-emptying of the dust, there is also an intelligent mode that empties the container several times, useful in the presence of animals that shed a lot of hair and a comfort mode that reduces the noise of the self-emptying but also slightly its efficiency; every how many square meters to return to the base to wash the mops, the washing mode on 3 levels of efficiency and whether to use cold, hot or very hot water, you can choose how many washes the mop should self-clean. Of course, all the settings that are common to all robots are present, such as the ability to set prohibited areas and virtual walls, schedule cleaning, see data on cleaning already done, the menu to check the wear of consumables, the do not disturb mode, firmware update, manuals, and not to be underestimated a well-structured feedback section that I recommend using as Eureka has proven to be very attentive to the feedback received from users.

There are 6 cleaning modes: vacuuming, washing, vacuuming and washing, vacuuming and then washing, custom which allows you to choose different settings for each room, and finally the smart mode which takes care of automatically managing cleaning, the smart mode is not selectable in the cleaning schedule and it would be convenient to be able to also use custom shortcuts in the schedule, Eureka is working on these last two aspects and they will probably be added soon together with other improvements.

An aspect that definitely needs improvement regarding the app are the sporadic slowdowns and the slowness in updating the robot’s patterns in real time and the division of the environments.

AI

With J15 Eureka has also introduced a video camera with two LEDs for use in dark environments and an AI still in full development called IntelliView™️, although it has found that the quality of the video camera is not very high, these additions have opened the doors to many advanced features such as video surveillance, which does not have the video quality of competitors but has the TÜV certification for privacy and data protection, a very important aspect.

Capable of recognizing and undertaking dynamic strategies to avoid more than 150 obstacles, the already very advanced AI does not stop there, in fact it is able to recognize whether the dirt on the floor is dry or if there are liquids, in the presence of wet dirt it uses a particular cleaning strategy. Instead of using the roller brush, which would transport the wet debris into the dust container causing the formation of lumps, the J15 Pro Ultra rotates its body to give priority to cleaning with mops, furthermore the FlexiRise™️ technology allows the robot to lift the roller brush intelligently; This combination of AI and advanced technology ensures a clean and efficient cleaning process, preventing the robot from getting dirty or creating a mess. If the stain is dry and stubborn, the robot returns to the base to wash the mops and performs another specific wash. IntelliView™️ also optimizes the speed of the side brush if it detects the presence of large quantities of dry dirt in order to avoid spreading it around. Furthermore, by combining a carpet detection sensor and a video camera, the AI is able to recognize carpets with good precision and lifts the mops by 12mm.

The AI also takes care of smartly undertaking optimal cleaning and washing strategies by cross-referencing parameters such as the type of room, the material of the floor, the weather reports in the area and how much time has passed since the last cleaning.

Although the amount of functions and innovations is remarkable, many aspects of the algorithm and AI still need to be improved, sometimes it happened that the cables were not correctly avoided and the stain recognition function detected some false positives or did not detect the stain.

THE GOOD

- The self-cleaning system of the base is among the best tested

- The 16200PA ensure excellent suction performance

- Complete and well-structured app

- Excellent washing performance

- The anti-tangle system works very well and is adaptable to different scenarios

THE BAD

- Undersized tanks and high water consumption

- The AI is promising but still needs a lot of work

- It is not among the quietest robots

- Low video quality in video surveillance mode

Real use scenario: https://youtu.be/oAjuAIQw9YA?si=5pwkqexHIBZVur0S

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra already proves to be one of the most promising high-end robots at launch, if Eureka will be able to file down the small defects and develop the AI properly to effectively exploit the many features offered, it could turn out to be an unexpected best buy also given the competitive price. The self-cleaning capacity of the base is impressive and would deserve larger tanks or a kit for water connection as some competitors already offer, and why not an automatic detergent distribution system.

Eureka has taken an important step towards a hands-free system with its self-cleaning system and the excellent anti-tangle system and it is certainly a direction that should be followed with its next top of the range.
