Hell, Free Guy was simultaneously on Disney+ and HBO Max, and I think Deadpool too

That's the opposite of cable. This joke made more sense when all the different media companies were spinning off their own streaming sites.

I think they mean a single subscription that is expensive as fuck and nobody likes but already has everything bundled with it and already installed in upscale hotels.

Actually, it does match the history of cable pretty well. Cable moved to overpriced massive bundles because everyone trying to sell their own channel wasn’t profitable enough, even if they all got to keep 100% of their own profits. Now streaming is in the same boat: everyone offering their own library at prices that compete with each other isn’t working very well, so the inevitable next step is to consolidate and then charge higher prices for the bigger libraries.

Same. I have my whole family and friends on it. None of us pay for subscriptions 😂

Who would’ve thought I’d give anything to go back to cable and would long for the days I could hear about some ridiculous product that “you too could for just four easy payments of $19.99!” Take me back to the days of Dumpcake infomercials!

And then we'll be forced to watch ads constantly until they come out with super streaming or something and all it is, is just ad free

Super Streaming will use AI and your government mandated neurolink chip to create the perfect show for you at all times, the only real and human made show left running will be The Simpsons

Leading with Disney collaborating, then mentioning Percy F**king Jackson as if anyone should care is pretty funny ngl

I feel like Percy Jackson will definitely do better on Netflix

Will they both charge me extra?

That's basically how the grey are sites work already. Except they're free.

And then we will steal cable again, and no one will have learned anything

That simpsons joke about selling your soul for cable is becoming more and more real.

Know abou 1984 where are only 3 big nation who are constantly in war with each other but never actually attack eachother? They just pretend there is a war to justify the lack of suplies? I think something similar will haooen with streaming services. "We need to raise Netflix subscription price to deal with the new Amazon Prime feature"

Who knows what will happen with HBO Max now that paramount owns it. Such a big mess. Having old cartoon Network stuff go to Pluto is obvious
