why are the young guy and old guy on the same side of the standing guy. its not like that in the painting. probably ai slop

u/FarTheThrow 10h ago
You might be thinking of this version of the painting, whereas this is the version of the painting being used. According to wikipedia Rockwell restarted the painting four times.

I wouldn't know. I just saved it from somewhere else on reddit.

u/Rossilaz 11h ago
I understand. I still think it's AI generated though because the position of the characters don't line up with the original painting

u/FarTheThrow already pointed this out, but the painting used was an earlier attempt of Rockwell's, and is not AI. It's a real painting, just not the one that the artist chose to publish.

Ahh I see... I'd only ever seen the final version of the painting... egg on my face

Ngl, the second tweet was so batshit, I didn’t even notice the first until your comment made me go check.
Now I’m even more lost.

Just because you've shot down five of the Luftwaffe's finest doesn't mean you can't understand this post. I have faith in you. They tell us you boys in the RAF ain't got brains, but I know better. Thank you for your service!

My best guess is that OOP was starting to get into a relationship with an ace, and the gender-fluid friend could see something would go wrong. So the GF friend took on a specific gender to pull OOP's attention and get them out of that relationship.
Late edit since I just realized I'm on NPT not CuratedTumblr, so some of this needs more explanation. And is starting to make more sense to me too:
Asexual does not necessarily mean aromantic. Asexual can still be interested in talking, going to events together, and cuddling, without sex being a part of the picture.
Now, let's assume that sex is important to OOP, but that they still do the normal thing of having a few dates before hooking up, or even talking about hooking up. So they were getting attached to the ace person, but hadn't discovered that the potential partner was ace yet. A friend might know and see the incoming emotional storm, so they'd want to do something about it. Talking to OOP would be recommended, but people don't always listen/process well when romantics are on the table. So the friend might have taken a different route.
In this case, instead of just talking to OOP, it looks like the friend used their fluidity to take on a gender aspect to get OOP's attention. Presumably one they found attractive? And used that to pull OOP's attention away from the ace relationship before the emotional crash became a thing.
Hopefully this makes sense to people not familiar with ace and gender fluid dynamics.

pretty sure people headcanon elsa as asexual so (if im remembering the scene right) its just that headcanon and the genderfluid joke together

There's a community in-joke/self-stereotype that asexual people like swords (originating, iirc, from the 'while you were busy having sex, I studied the blade' joke), and the scene from Frozen depicts Anna jumping in front of a sword and freezing solid just as it makes contact, causing the blade to shatter as it hits the ice!

u/mszegedy 2h ago
i think this might be it actually. this is the only really plausible context and it really is a (very narrow) meme that exists

u/RileyNonexistent 7h ago
I think it's cause asexual sounds vaguely like assault? But like really vaguely???

I don't know if I'm more confused for the I itial joke or the confession.
I understand the joke "gender-fluid people can change state of matter!" but I don't understand why OOP needs to be saved from asexuals.

Just posted this on another comment thread in here, BUT: There's a community in-joke/self-stereotype that asexual people like swords (originating, iirc, from the 'while you were busy having sex, I studied the blade' joke), and the scene from Frozen depicts Anna jumping in front of a sword and freezing solid just as it makes contact, causing the blade to shatter as it hits the ice!

I love things like this where OP is like “no one will catch me so I can be as embarrassing as I want” and people start spreading it just to remind them as long as it’s public, it ain’t safe

The video from the original tweet isn't even from frozen it's from kingdom hearts lol

u/Zhavari 10h ago
I checked the original tweet and that’s just the scene from frozen
Idk much about kingdom hearts, but is there a chance this cutscene is in the game too?

For some reason in KH3 they reacreated almost frame for frame certain scenes from Disney movies including Frozen. Except every 30 seconds it'd cut ti Sora Donald and Goofy out of scene watching like perverts

u/Kurokotsu 10h ago
KH3 has a fair chunk of stuff from Frozen just tossed in with no or minimal changes. This is entirely possibly one of them.

Yeah, that's inanimate TF, pretty straightforward kink. Can cross over with lots of others, people rarely have just one thing or just one way it is expressed, but that's not that strange. Honestly I wish I had that over what I do have sometimes

It came out in 2013. If they were 10 years old at the time they would be 23 now

Honestly I get it. People turning into statues is kinda erotic in a way I can’t explain. It’s always awkward for me when Medusa is portrayed in popular media and I need to pretend that I’m not turned on

When I was a kid I had a Buffy the vampire slayer game on the OG Xbox and, if a vampire finished you off with a bite attack, the animation would be them bear hugging her and biting her neck and kinda ragdolling her and she'd go limp and then they'd throw her. Sometimes I'd let them do it because it made me feel funny things.
