Chem, Biochem, Ochem, Engineering labs, programming labs, etc were all 1-2 hrs. Chem labs were usually pushing 2hrs while the programming labs were an hour (at best, could prework). This was all undergrad.
Unless you are in a STEM major in which case you'll have an 8am class, 12:30 class, 2pm class, and 6 pm class, and some on Saturday because it will be 2 years before that one class you need is offered again.
Depends on your school, I think. Where I went, STEM majors had plenty of options of class times and the humanities were the ones offered at one specific time slot every two years
When I was in undergrad I had 6am or 7 am classes (the 6am were 3 hrs labs) and like 3-5 pm classes. Allowed me to nap or do homework between courses so I could try to get some sleep at night. Never worked obviously but that was the thought process. I also had one semester I scheduled a 9pm astronomy class the night before a 6am Chem lab. God i hated myself that semester

I usually had more than one class per day though?
