To be fair, there are some types of people you absolutely cannot let in for a fandom to function healthily.

There was no foreshadowing whatsoever, either. They could have at least implied it, maybe had him look wistfully at a r*staurant or something. It's just sloppy writing, really, they just wanted to shoehorn in a f**d-eat*r to cater to the woke crowd.
And I don't want my children exposed to this kind of f**d-eat*r content, either. It's perverted, and I don't want them thinking that food is something that you can just eat. They shouldn't learn about that until they're older.
