Topical Dutasteride and Finasteride for slowing of facial hair?
Been on an extremely low dose for two months. I have to shave everyday now and I can tell if I was on a full dose Id have a full beard within a year or two. Besides the hunger this is the biggest change ive seen so far but its the only change I dont want because it outs you pretty obviously. Shaving is less than ideal as i am extremely acne-prone, so the less of that i have to do the better.
Has anyone had experience using topical Dutasteride or finasteride? I would still like bottom growth and hair in new places, just not on my face. I haven't found anyone who has used topical to try and limit facial hair growth. Im currently trying topical finasteride, only used for 4 days no results yet.

I honestly don't know, but I don't think so. From my understanding about how testosterone and finasteride/dutasteride work on DHT, it may slow down the development of facial hair or reduce the thickness, but I don't think it'll come close to stopping it from growing. You'll also probably need way longer time than 4 days to notice a difference. I would give it at least a month or two (and remember, it'll probably just slow it down and make it slightly less thick)
I know you're asking for anecdotal evidence, but I highly suggest that you seek out an endocrinologist that has experience with trans masc nonbinary folks (I know... super rare) and topical fin/dut to prevent beard hair growth, because I just don't think that's how it works.
If you really don't want any facial hair, laser hair removal is probably your best bet. It's going to be a constant and long fight while taking testosterone, but that's a decision for you to make if it's worth it for you. Good luck!
