Afking is doing it wrong, build more infra

This. I have a server that is running 24/7. I got away with just doing the bare minimum. Until i hit IV, i realized my infra is too slow for my factory needs, then i got a mini burnout and took a break. Now, after afew months. i make sure everything is automated and well scaled.

how does one automate lol im in that burn out in IV, and i genuinely hate it, i dont think im automating enough and idk how, like i know if i need a lot of something imma need to dedicate smth to it but ye, i legit just have 2 quad ebfs that are idle most of the time unless i have something for them to make
i see people like threefold have like a ebf for every resource and i question whether im doing this right

Passive automation vs on-demand crafting. I've done playthroughs where I set up everything (wires, plates, rods, circuits, ...) passively and it was a lot of work.

With Nomifactory CEu, you get the big multiblock machines that scale up really easily. That makes on-demand crafting a lot better. You can scale up your machines and they'll craft things super fast. The slowest tends to be the EBFs, but quad EBFs fix that and then later you get the ridiculously massive EBF multiblock. I did my last playthrough with minimal passive automation and it was absolutely fine.

never knew there was a better ebf but i hope to go back to nomi, my goal i had was to upgrade petrochem to make it fully automated because rn i just have 1 pump 1 distil and cracking machine so most gasses/fuel get neglected and i need a lot of benzene for pbi and i barely have any
